Very clean and staff was amazing great location
The staff were helpful and polite
We had to swop rooms due to the window not being able to be closed securely and getting caught in the wind and the room was dirty and I got someone else's false fingernail in my shoe, dubious stains all over the red chair and furniture had very weird scratches on it.
New room on initial look seemed fine but soon discovered it was freezing and filthy. The noise from upstairs just walking was alarming as I thought the ceiling was coming in. Heard a knock at thw door about midnight , opened it to see 2 police men , thankfully not for us but for the room next door. I plugged my phone in to charge and all the sockets on that circuit blew so no bedside light just the " big " light left. Could not boil the kettle due to this but eventually found a working socket. We strip the beds before leaving and were dismayed to see what we had been sleeping on all night! Bathroom door did not shut or lock and was equally as dirty as the rest of the room so much so my daughter refused to go in the bath to shower. This hotel was not cheap for 1 night. Would NEVER recommend this to anyone. Pictures show a hotel from the past and all that's left is a sad glimmer of what it once was.No breakfast being served either
Shower did not work, kitchen fire alarm went off, no breakfast on Monday.
No breakfast alarms went off at 1am poor facility staff trying to hang it together basically poor
Everyting
Friendly staff
Booked last minute budget room so expectations nor great. Located in the annexe condition of the property badly in need of refurbishment. Room small as expected but quite noisy from other guests. Bathroom very cold radiator not working & shower very poor
Good quiet location. Great value for money.
All good.
11am check out time
shower water pressure was extremely poor and water took an age to warm up, room electric heating did not appear to work, window wouldnt close fully, no breakfast facilities (although this was stated when booked), room carpet was heavily worn and poor cleanliness around the bed base,
Good price point.
Dated establishment. Would benefit from upgrading.
Dinner was nice
The bathroom was unclean, there were gaps in the windows through which I could see daylight!! I was not aware that a hotel with a restaurant did not serve breakfast. Had I known this I would have gone elsewhere.
The cupboard was so filthy with loose paint I couldn’t even unpack my case. I even cut the stay short and drove back and forth from Aberdeen to Perth, defeating the purpose of the hotel in the first place.
Bed was clean. Room warm. Price ok but….
Building and common areas neglected grimy and decrepit. Dining room an empty barn with limited menu and poor presentation. I had to ask for cutlery! Bathroom fittings from another era. Has gone badly downhill over recent years.
Easy to work out kinda staff
I liked it all
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a central to where we were going out with family.
What can I say maybe should lift all carpets as very damp and worn on way up to room. Maybe invest in new mattresses that are not paper thin. Revamp all over as very old and dated decor through your . I mean the hairdryer and the radio on the wall must be from the 1970s at least. The radio randomly came on during the night and an alarm went off during the night.the sound proof room is definitely not sound proof heard neighbours getting up and ready at 7 am from toileting to shower.
The place the staff there was nothing not to like
Nothing
The staff were exceptional, very helpful and and extremely friendly.
The staff were so friendly.I loved the food.My room was lovely. The bed was comfortable.Great choice of this to watch on tv.Lovely view.
The shower was annoying as it was just run off the taps and i found it hard to get the right temp,it was either too hot or cold.A leaflet in the room would of been good with breakfast times etc and information about room service.
Lovely hotel and staff also very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. Not too far from town. Also getting to park at the hotel was a bonus.
My only problem was trying to regulate the shiwer it was either boiling or freezing. Other than that everything was ok
