Ideal central stay
Pros:

Cooked breakfast was good as was the waffle with stewed fruit. Coffee not so great. Staff friendly

Cons:

Coffee and juice could of been better. I found the pillows a bit uncomfortable

A great base for exploring and the breakfasts are amazing

Had great expectations for this stay and it was disappointing.
Pros:

The breakfast was ok. The staff were ok. It was clean. There was a fan which was much needed. Parking was where they said it was.

Cons:

Two rooms were booked and both were exceptionally hot, including the cold water tap.
The twin had big windows, but the 'Deluxe double' had a small window in the roof. There was nothing 'deluxe' about this room, very ordinary. We could not enter the room as the key card wouldn't work. This took ages to sort out and a lot of up and downstairs for us, eventually we were given an actual key for the room. No sign of a manager to sort the problem out only bar staff. When trying to get in to the hotel at night at least 3 rooms worth of people could not enter using the side gate because of the key card situation. This needs reviewing.

This is a good optional hotdl
Pros:

As expected room was rather small but was not an issue- outlook over low level roofs and resident very vocal gull community a real nuisance from noise perspective.
Breakfast excellent and much too generous.

Room outlook and noisy gull neighbours.

Fabulous!
Pros:

Great town centre location with a car park, friendly staff, free upgraded room. One of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had, piping hot and quality ingredients, will definitely return and make a weekend of it this time

Penrith Weekend
Pros:

The rooms were spotless. The beds comfortable. The windows were excellent for noise reduction. We were provided with fans for the room, which were a godsend when the weather was 30+ degrees!
The bus to Pooley Bridge was outside the hotel which was great as we were walking around Ullswater on the Saturday. Can highly recommend the cocktails!

Nothing to dislike.

Lovely Hotel in a great location
Pros:
