Great seaview had high expectations for this hotel. 1st the main hall and stairs need deep cleaning. Room great size but needs updating. I was in the shower and partner was woken up with banging at the door it was the owner saying i need to close shower doors as it was leaking downstairs. The doors was closed then i got told to put towels down to soak up water. No offer of towels etc to put down then i was told to get out of the shower because of it. No attempt from owner to sort problen out. If there is a problem you need to sort it not take it out on the guest's. Window cill needed cleaning as sand all over it and window needs sorting as it was extremely draughty
Shops very close by and overlooked the beach.
Room was filthy, the shower was very small and took ages to heat up. The whole room needs a good scrub and a complete refurb including new beds. The room also needs to be completely redecorated.
Very polite nice hotel would highly recommend thanks very much
Great hotlel pilloews could be better
was good trip hotel was ok needs updating
We had contact the owner by phone and wait 10 minutes outside for him to show up and let us in , the room was small ,scruffy ,we didnt dare to touch the wardrobe as it would of collapsed, there was no heating or towels , for the £45 it was just about ok.
Health hazard. Vomit and poop stain on the wall. We didnt stay booked somewhere else. Didnt get our money back.
AVOID THIS PLACE TERRIBLE
On arrival I was told the WiFi wasn’t working the heating was on a timer so if I wished I could have an old electric fire in the room I declined as I was staying with young children
When I was checking out at 10am there was nobody available to take the key so I left it behind the desk took a photo which I then forwarded to the host
hotel don’t do breakfast
The staff were pleasant and helpful and it was a nice chilled environment in the bar of a night. Not much of a selection on drinks but what they had was at a very reasonavle price. Theres no restaurant attached anymore which was advertised and they dont serve breakfast anymore as advertised but all in all we had a good stay. Id definitley stay again, it has a great location and the adjacent hotel and bars are open to non residents so i didnt have to go far for anything i needed.
Room ceiling stained, mattress springs gone, no bed sheets. Mattress covered by old thin protector
The staff were lovely
Three night stay in October. Room only. Very friendly and welcoming. Manager/owner met us on arrival. Was avaliable 24/7 in case of emergency. Bar area was clean and comfortable. Rooms were clean (bed was a little uncomfortable or maybe just I was just not used to it). Tea and coffee provided in Room. Nothing was too much trouble. Clean beding provided on 2nd day after nose bleed.
We stayed at Funky Towers from 27th May to 30th May.
Subi is the new owner of Funky Towers, he has only been there for a few weeks.
He was polite, helpful, kind and he accommodated us with a change of room, due to there being no lift in his b & b.
Our room was perfect in size, comfort and the view was gorgeous. There is a bar and pool table and Subi cooks various Indian foods to which we are yet to go back and try.
We parked our car over the road on the promenade which cost £8 per day.
Our stay was perfect and full compliments to Subi. We will be going back this year to stay at Funky Towers at some point.
The room was filthy , the bedding had stains all over it the curtains also had bugs all over the top of them. When getting into bed I pulled the cover and there was a little bug and yellow stains when also trying to take a shower the water would not go warm and the shower head continuously fell off. the wallpaper was hanging off which was over the top of our heads when we was sleeping, I also think that the service was awful as the people who were working behind the bar took a very long time to serve us and we was the only people there!
When We arrived they only had 1 of the 2 rooms on the booking even though it was on the same booking and the shower was temperamental was either freezing cold or boiling hot. Other than that overall it was pleasant stay but don’t think i’d stay again.
Tiny room
Walking distance to pleasure beach, piers shops, restaurants and water park. Great family room clean, tidy, and comfy beds. staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was nice. Look forward to our next stay!
With it being a sea front hotel I was expecting something pretty good but Funky Towers was a tired & dated hotel I'm afraid.
The need for some refurbishment is the minimum it requires.
We'll be back to Blackpool for sure just not staying there.
Perfect stopover on Blackpool seafront for our family of five. One room with a double and three single beds and a sea view - perfect location and very helpful staff.
