Grand Hotel Empire Frankfurt

Staff is nice and friendly, and the location is very convenient. Whether it is really clean... with bedsheets really fresh... not so sure. Soap was missing in both shower and sink area, and they promptly brought me... a half used Nivea Men shower gel bottle, and a small shampoo bottle from a random hotel. Well, all a bit improvised, but the staff was at least trying their best and I don't think it is their fault.

Good value for the money, but that's it. Broken door lock, soggy breakfast, wrong receipts and making up a quick surcharge for me when realizing I'm in need by the owner.

Nothing more to say. Owner turned really unfriendly when pointing out that he made up the price on the spot just because I'm in need.

I never seen such a worst stay wifi was not working inside the room no mobile signal also when I checked in reception he told here the wifi is working if you want sit in the front sofa and browse it is not my responsibility if wifi is not working and today it is too crowd thats why wifi is not working as such waste resons he gave, to sit in sofa then why did I booked a room? It was very disappointed night for me ever without internet very worst

Handy location right next to the train station, but very seedy area, wouldn’t want to be out after dark. Glad we only had one night here.

The hotel receptionist Mr. Hojat was so nice and caring. He provided us with good room and information about good dinning restaurants. Thanks to him.
but the bedding was not good and breakfast very poor.

Not really clean

Excellent stay. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The area around the hotel is not the best, but similar to any inner city. Highly recommend.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Empire in Frankfurt from June 21 to June 22, 2024, booked by Lufthansa due to a delayed flight. My late check-out at 2 PM on June 22 was a nightmare due to the unacceptable behavior of the receptionist.

After a quick tour in Frankfurt, I missed my transport and returned to check out and retrieve my luggage. Upon my arrival, before even entering the hotel, the receptionist approached me on the street, saying: “Oh, you’re the one from room 404?” He aggressively confronted me about an additional payment, saying: “You must pay the extra, or your card won’t work, and you’ll be stuck here. I don’t care about the rest.” His tone was extremely aggressive and inappropriate. Even the taxi driver had to intervene to calm the situation.

When I mentioned that I would write a complaint, the receptionist, who appeared to be of Indian descent, dismissively said he didn’t care. Such behavior is unworthy of a receptionist. As a hospitality professional myself, I find this unacceptable.

I strongly advise Lufthansa not to send their clients to such a hotel, especially after delayed flights. It harms Lufthansa’s image and customer satisfaction. I strongly discourage staying at this hotel due to this very unpleasant experience.

Very convenient and perfectly acceptable for an overnight stop between train journeys. Very reasonably priced too. Breakfast included - adequate but rolls/bread were disappointing by German standards.

The hotel is located conveniently outside the station, which is ot the nicest area of Frankfurt, actually kn the evening ot seems you are not in Germany.
The hotel is not new or newly renovated; rooms seems quite obsolete but mine was clean. Sound proofing is not really the best as you can hear clearly what tour next door is doing.
worst point is the "restaurant", I think you are better not even trying that, as there is almost nothing eatablecor drinkable. Diet is your best option to keep safe and healthy.
Next time I will sleep in the terminal.
