Place was absolutely lovely right on the river. Close enough to walk into town, but separated enough to be quiet at night. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property. Everything was perfect! I’d stay there again.

Lovely stay! Great location, super quiet. The walking street is just across the bridge from the hotel which is great. Only downside was that the balcony doors had a big gap above them allowing mosquitoes in the room.

Loved the central location by the river. Room was clean simple, with a nice balcony (upper floor). Found it slightly annoying they had to check my room before giving me my 'key deposit' back... sounds like it's a room deposit and not a key deposit (I was in a rush to leave).

Fantastic location in Pai away but not far from all the busy nightlife. Quiet, nice rooms.

Lovely location. In January it is like a british summer evening at night so bring appropriate clothing to wear out and in bed to keeo warm. Temperature difference is 20 degrees from day to night.

Very chilled by the riverside, set back from market street and bars. A quick 3-4 minute walk away from all the restaurants, bars and market.
Staff are very helpful and sweet. The rooms/huts were very clean and comfortable. On check in we were offered extra blankets if the one wasn’t enough.
The huts aren’t sound proof (which is fine) but if you have disrespectful neighbours then you’ll know about it ....

Wow. I have to say we were so pleasantly surprised by this one, considering the low cost! Located right by the riverbank in Pai, this place offers peace and serenity in only a short walking distance to the fun town of Pai. You get the tranquility of the river with all the perks of the town life. The staff was great and really helpful! The breakfast buffet by the river was one of the best I had this trip even though this is not a luxurious hotel. There was a small selection but everything was homemade and so delicious - the most amazing banana bread, pumpkin pancakes, fresh fruit, bread and butter and a side of eggs any way you like them with hash browns or traditional Thai rice and chicken. We got a deluxe bungalow which was absolutely charming and had traditional decoration. The bed was very comfortable! The bungalow only had a fan, no ac, but in our weather we didn’t need more than that and didn’t even use the fan. They do have cabins with ac - just make the inquiries when you book. The only thing a bit odd was the bathroom that looked a bit intimidating at first with the simple shower and the missing ceiling (on purpose!) that makes you shower under the sky. But we got into it very quickly and it was quite fun! The Canary was absolutely delightful and definitely the best one in terms of value.

I enjoyed my stay at Canary Guesthouse. It was perfectly located by the riverside, just minutes from the walking street.

The garden bungalows were nicely spaced out with lush surroundings.

The only negative was the occasional noises from noisy neighbours -- who talk a little too loud! Thin wooden walls don't help.

If possible, ask for a garden bungalow away from others. There are a couple of standalone ones. Or one separated by concrete walls.

Besides that minor annoyance, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Not to Shaby, expect basics, but I suppose you pay for what you get.
Bathroom has a nice view looking out of the ceiling but this does mean mozzies come in.
The bedroom gets very hot, beds are really comfy, and free water is provided.
Staff are helpful, and it is all only a 5 minute walk to the main strip of Pai.

Canary has cute bungalows and cottages right by the Pai river. The family that runs this place is very nice. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are the best we've had in Thailand. It is a short 5 minute walk to the main streets where there are plenty of food options and the night market.

Nice and clean. Secluded and quite as it is on the river and tucked away from the noise of the main road. Skip the breakfast offered since there are many better options in town.

We originally booked for 3 nights but extended this to 7 nights as we enjoyed staying here so much.
The bungalows are in a great location on the river, it is very quiet and peaceful here, but still only a very short walk to the centre of town (you can easily walk here in 5 minutes from the bus stop).
There is free wifi in all the bungalows, free tea, coffee and hot chocolate at the resort and also the breakfasts that are served all day are excellent and reasonably priced.
We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Pai.
