The location was great
Overpriced
When I came in from a 30 degrees day outside, the room was cold and the AC was on, along with FOX news, which I cannot stand. Why not turn OFF the AC when nobody is in the room on a cold day??? And why was the TV on? Colossal waste of energy and money. Also the wifi hasn't worked well in the room for the last couple of years, and I don't always have time to go to the lobby to work. Will be looking elsewhere next time.
I love the mission of this hotel and restaurant. Providing training and jobs to people with disabilities is a wonderful mission and the staff is great. I always stay here when visiting family.
It was decently clean.
I checked in after midnight. The automatic door wouldn't open and there was no sign on the door stating to pick up the phone on the wall. Instead, the man at the front desk finally motioned to the left corner behind the luggage carts. I picked up and was able to tell him I had a reservation and gave him my name. He opened the door and I got checked in successfully. I asked where to park and he told me to 'hug the building' until I get to the parking structure and I could park anywhere in the structure for free. Our room was on the 3rd floor so naturally we parked on the 3rd floor. Get out, get all the luggage out.. And the elevator was off. Drove down to the next level.. Same thing.. Elevator was off. I was mad at this point and just drug our suitcases down a flight of stairs. Had to still cross a street with our luggage to even enter the hotel.. Not fun in 30 degree weather. Get in the room and settling down to go to sleep, and pull the sofa bed out only to scour the whole room and realize there was no sheets for the sofa bed. Thankfully the king bed had plenty of flat sheets on top so I was able to take one off and wrap it around the mattress to the sofa bed and luckily we had brought an extra blanket and pillow of our own. I figured since the front desk employee didn't offer any extra information to us about the elevators in the structure not working that it would have been a waste of time to ask about extra sheets for the sofa bed. I will NOT stay here again.
Great lower beds for handicapped
I ended up having an allergic reaction to something either used to clean the rooms or the soap or shampoo in the shower. Very very small fridge.
Parking is free and safe
Quiet.
Pillows to not be SO soft. My daughter and I both had sore necks this morning. Once your head is on the pillow, it sinks down to the mattress, even with two pillows, no support at all.
Great area to stay. Peaceful and friendly.
