Lovely characterful property. A warm welcome from staff and the room was just what we needed. The dinner menu was delicious and we really enjoyed it.
The only thing wrong was it was so hot.
Uncomfortably warm in the restaurant but luckily we could control the temperature in our room.
Fabulous hotel, food amazing and excellent staff meeting and greeting on arrival.
I have no comment
Quiet location, warm welcome, great team and good food from the tasting menu 👌🏻
Not a particularly warm and cosy hotel, lots of beige spaces without much colour, lots of blank walls and sterile looking lounges - needs warming up!
イングランドの田舎の静かで落ち着いた雰囲気でゆっくり過ごせた。 シュフの対応がとても親切でした。
Great dining in the Cedar restaurant. Rooms were nice and quiet. Good coffee bags in them.
I took my Dad for his Birthday and he didn't get a card or a cake at dinner. We got it after we went to bed. Not the service I expected as a repeat visitor. Carpets in the dining room needed cleaning and I had to ask for our rooms to be cleaned at 3.30pm. My husband ordered a pot of coffee and was given tea. Sadly no further repeat business from us. Rooms are expensive compared to other Michelin starred places we have stayed in around the UK.
Great setting, good location for visiting Hadrian’s Wall.
Brilliant chef. one Of the best meals I have enjoyed anywhere in the world
Breakfast was good. Nice selection of food available. Staff was efficient and pleasant.
The room was large and beautiful but did not like climbing steps to the bathroom.
We were met in the car park and immediately offered help. Our rooms were ready and provided exactly what we requested. The tour of the guest areas was a lovely welcome. The attention paid to my elderly father was appreciated.
The weather! Our stay and meals were outstanding.
A beautiful country house hotel with some of the most pleasant staff I have encountered for a long time.
Whilst the breakfast was excellent myself and some guest dined in the restaurant which is of a variation on Indian cooking. I did not know that the restaurant was fusion food which sometimes I enjoy, but in this case was not to my pallet I found the dishes forgettable and at times juvenile.
Classy - lovely room and excellent food. The kitchen garden was a joy
Nothing
I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The breakfast was exceptional, as one would expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant—everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. The room itself was comfortable and offered a stunning view of the garden, adding a serene touch to our stay. Overall, the combination of gourmet dining and picturesque surroundings made for a truly memorable experience."

It was a 4 star hotel but in my opinion it should be 5 star
Staff were excellent room was spotless and food was outstanding. I've stayed in glen eagles and I think farlam was more relaxing.
Can not perfect perfection. Superb hotel
Warmest welcome and genuinely nice staff.
Rooms are actually original part of the home so doors do allow sound through.
A quiet location in very comfortable surroundings coupled with excellent and unique food
Unable to think of anything
The food was excellent! Superbly presented very tasty combinations with and Indian twist. Magnificent! Location was a little isolated but superb, very quiet. Very attentive and understanding staff .
So we have stayed many times at Farlam Hall over the past 20 years. However this was the first time we have visited since the new owners have renovated the property. We therefore arrived with some trepidation. We had no need to worry the transformation was outstanding! The staff were welcoming and very attentive and friendly. The food, especially breakfast, was fantastic!
I felt the 550% markup on the pre dinner drinks was excessive. I appreciate there is always a markup on drinks and wine but to be charged £5.50 for a 330cl bottle of Peroni which you can buy in a supermarket for £1.00 is unacceptable. £10.00 for a single measure Gin & Tonic is also a bit OTT!
