Disappointing for the cost of the accommodation
Pros:

Location and easy to park

Cons:

Information to access the front door was incorrect and was unable to contact anyone to let us in
The air condition for the building was not working, and the temporary unit install was like sleeping with a truck driving through you bedroom.
Little things in the room were not working, or just not up to date with modern accommodation expectations. .. fitted sheet on the bed had a rip in it, soap dispenser was empty, safe did not work.

Love visiting Southern Pines, hotel has much to be desired and was less than comfortable.
Pros:

Amazing location, walkable to everything in town.

Cons:

Poor/non existent concierge or customer service, non functioning AC and fridge, downgraded room with no notice or discount

Beautiful historic home, quiet, comfortable, could use some extra attention to cleaning.
Pros:

Beautiful facility with a very swanky bar. There is no staff on site that I could tell, but they were very responsive to texting. The building is older, but renovated beautifully.

Cons:

While everything was beautiful in the rooms and the lobby was comfortable, the dresser was extremely dusty on the drawers, the small hand-held mirror had dust and hair on it and the baseboards were extremely dusty. So, cleaning wasn't quite up to par.

More AirBNB than Inn
Pros:

The rooms were spacious and furniture was nice. The bed and linens were super comfy. Loved the two cell phone chargers by the beds, a nice touch.

Cons:

For a boutique hotel in downtown Southern Pines that goes all out with Christmas lights, I would have thought at a minimum the Fall pumpkins outside the building would have been replaced by the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I was disappointed there wasn't a decoration to be found anywhere in the building. Its clear this is more of an Airbnb set up, rather than a "inn" as there are no staff on-site at all. Seems like a missed opportunity given the location. It also took a really long time for the shower to heat up (close to 5 minutes).

Wouldn't do it again.
Pros:

We liked the location and easy check in.

Cons:

The mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The worst was how excited they were that the lounge was now open. It was EXTREMELY loud with drunks screaming late into the night. We were there to sleep, not party.
