Friendly staff, good breakfast
Not keen on the food at the onsite pub
Location
The whole hotel needs refurbishment. It all needs tidying up, cleaning and painting. Furniture in the room looked like it needed to be in a second hand shop.
Everything was excellent, nice room, and breakfast was good as always
Lication and pool
Staff
Price didn’t include breakfast. The property and rooms looked tired
Was good
Its character
The location
The pool area needs a refurbishment and the rooms need upgrades
We ate at the pub, not the restaurant at Orton Hall. We were tired and hungry after a long journey and wished afterwards that we had said we didn’t like the food. The salad was wilted, the veggie burger was overcooked and the brownies were overcooked too. Disappointing when the hotel, facilities and grounds were so lovely.
Size was fine
Damp Patch on the ceiling was off putting. Room was noisy near some closing doors which needs attention.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Breakfast was good, property was very nice
Evening bar service (internal bar, not Ramblewood) was excellent
Reception staff only managed minimum, seems like I was a problem or disruption for their chatting.
On-site bar Ramblewood, unstaffed, took ages to find someone to order lunch
Really bad and uncomfortable
Outside areas were shabby, uncared for and needed a good sweep and tidy.
Bar food and drinks very poor quality.
Overall feel was run down and unloved.
Beautiful location friendly staff and the massage was amazing
It’s a stunning location, and a very impressive building. Twice we have been and had heritage four poster rooms. I can definitely recommend. Huge room-enormous bed and lovely views over the garden. The spa facility is great-sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, pool. We ate at the Ramblewood Inn on site, and it was great (as were the staff). The breakfast is one of the best, great selection.
Unfortunately we were in a mini heatwave and the room was incredibly hot. The fan we had in the room was very noisy. Other than that. All was great.
