Lovely location, very friendly staff.
Room was lovely and spacious
TV was tiny and there was not enough light in the bathroom - my husband struggled to shave. Some maintenance required as overhead shower was broken and lights in the bathroom either did not work at all and the bathroom mirror light only partially worked making the bathroom very dim unless the curtains were fully open
There was a wedding party in the room next door on the Friday night/Saturday morning who were very noisy and woke us up at 6 am
Warm welcome, lovely venue and the grounds have been immaculately kept. Good choice at breakfast.
Male receptionist who greeted us on the 21st August is a credit to the company , very professional and very helpful .
The bathroom needed attention, soap dispenser hanging off the wall, which l did report to reception. Did not have the full compliments of towels, which l reported to reception. No change of towels on second day. Shower flooded the floor. Very hard pillows.

Not much! Tiny thing- croissants at breakfast were stale and fishcakes for lunch were heavy. Food was the weak spot but everything else was fab.

The staff were a little slow, the bar was unattended for a good length of time it was quiet but there were people drinking also for lunch we were on a tight turn around but when we were seated we weren't told that we needed to order food at the bar. This is just a bit unfortunate rather than a big problem.
One of the rooms was ok in size. The young man on breakfast duty who was very pleasant.
Everything, from the cloying smell of room freshener all over the property to the rather surly lady on reception. The rooms were awful and were not cleaned. One room was particularly depressing, dark and painted grey. The whole place had a joylessness about it. Rooms are strangely hot, walls are paper thin and corridor/room conversations audible to all. Just avoid this ‘hotel’ at all costs. We usually like to support independent properties but this place is really taking the proverbial. It would almost be excusable were it a cheap stay, but it’s not.

The cold on the shower didn't work, we were there only for 2 days and never reported it as the shower was nice and warm.
Great location for area . Great value fir pricre although i was just staying on thursday night suspect weekend pricing may be different. Bathroom had plenty if space to .manoeuvre . Cooked Breakfast excellent

Unfortunately given bed frame was solid wood including area where put mattress over and it was a thin mattress it did feel like sleeping on bench for night even though slept on top of duvet .
