Been there twice now and will definitely return.
Pros:

I love the history of this place. The prices are excellent and the breakfast one of the best!

Cons:

Parking can be a bit difficult, but we managed to get a spot.

Pros:

Clean and spacious room. Building's architecture and amenities provided an authentic old Florida experience.

Breakfast, fruit and breads were ok, but eggs were not pleasing (scrambled eggs were very soft and runny and omelets tasted artificial).

Excellent hotel, highly recommended
Pros:

This is a historic hotel in a lively, interesting part of town. It has much more character and charm compared to other hotels in its price range. Nice breakfast. Coffee and water available all day in the lobby. Beautiful pool. Highly recommended.

Cons:

This hotel is over 110 years old so it's understandable that the rooms don't have an outlet every 6 feet but it would have been nice if the hotel had done more to compensate for this, for example providing power strips in safe locations and using lamps with built-in outlets.

Es ist in einem tollen historischen District gelegen, Straende und Restaurants sind schnell erreichbar. Es gibt tolles Frühstück mit frischen Früchten, Eiern, Waffeln - sehr gut! Schönes Ambiente in dem Haus alle Mitarbeiter nett .

Cons:

Es haben im Zimmer ein paar Haken gefehlt um etwas aufzuhängen. Es gibt keine Waschmaschine für Gäste!

Pros:

I would recommend the Crystal Bay Hotel in a heartbeat! The history of the hotel is very interesting, and really made for a great atmosphere.
Great location, and close to many activities (ask the staff for their recommendations).
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was amazing.
And, my #1 rave would be for the staff! Every single member of the staff was so personable and helpful - answering our questions, providing recommendations - all with a great sense of humor.
If we are ever back this way again, this is where we will stay.

Pros:

I love historic buildings, so the Crystal Bay hit all the points for me; history, feel and atmosphere of an older building with modern conveniences. One of the guests in my party works in hospitality, so she is usually pretty critical. She was impressed with the hotel and especially the staff that helped make our stay more enjoyable.

Cons:

My only criticism is that street noise seemed to be pretty loud, even on the upper floor. However, since that is beyond the ability of staff to manage, it's just something to consider when staying there.

Pros:

Sehr gut erhaltenes und liebevoll gepflegtes historisches Hotel im Flair der 50er Jahre. Geräumige, saubere Zimmer, und problemloses Parken auf dem Hotel Parkplatz oder in der Strasse selbst.
Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und ein hervorragendes Frühstück machen dieses Hotel zu einer absoluten Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt in St.Petersburg.

Cons:

Durch die Lage an der Hauptstraße ist der Verkehrslärm am Pool sehr deutlich wahrnehmbar.
Auf unserem Zimmer hat der Verkehr trotz nur einfacher Verglasung der alten Fenster allerdings nicht gestört, wir konnten sehr gut schlafen.

Historic hotel is pet friendly
Pros:

We have stayed at this historic hotel over several years. They are pet friendly. The staff is always helpful and friendly. There is a lovely butterfly garden out back. The have an outdoor pool. The beds are comfortable. Free WiFi and TV. The only drawback is it is on a busy road. You hear motorcycles and excessively loud cars and trucks.
The hotel is very clean.

Tolles historisches Hotel mit sensationell gutem Frühstück, Pool mit Handtüchern, jederzeit Kaffee und Tee und einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre.

Cons:

Der Check-In wird rein digital erwartet, mit Zahlen-Codes für alle Türen. Wer (wie wir) renitent ist und klingelt, darf immerhin klassisch einchecken - die Codes kommen dann per E-Mail.
Die Sprinkler-Anlage ist wirklich gewöhnungsbedürftig quer durchs Zimmer gezogen.

We had the pleasure of staying here for one night, and I truly wish it had been longer. The atmosphere, the kindness of the staff, and especially the incredible receptionist who went out of her way to communicate with us despite our very limited English — it meant a lot.

The room was absolutely spotless, which I deeply appreciate not only as a guest, but also as the owner of a cleaning company. The level of care and attention was truly outstanding — especially compared to other places we experienced during our trip.

I would just like to share one small, constructive observation: the way trash bags are placed in the bins. When the plastic liner is too visible or oversized, it slightly affects the overall aesthetic and also reduces the usability of the bin. A small adjustment here could make an already beautiful space feel even more refined.

Thank you again for your warmth, professionalism, and the feeling of being truly welcome. We will remember this stay very fondly 🤍
