Clean room, good breakfast

This hotel was very interesting, there are doors between the room in the hallway so it makes it very quiet. The room was very small but nice and clean. We did not eat here but it had a large dining room.

A one night sta with my wife. The room was clean and comfortable and my wife really appreciated the black-out curtains. Coffee , tea and water were provided. Bathroom was clean and we were able to have a decent shower. The pressure is not too strong but adequate enough and the water was hot. There are extensive grounds but it was raining one day and extremely hot the next so couldn't take advantage of a stroll.
Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast with everything you could want from a full English to pastries, fruit and yoghurt. Would definitely stay here again. The added bonus was the 2 EV charging points which I didn't see listed in the amenities. Was great as I could charge overnight and drive home without stopping.

Excellent service when I needed to alert the hotel that we would be late in checking in.

The reception staff was waiting for us when we arrived slightly later than originally mentioned.

The check-in process was completed quickly and we were in our rooms soon after.

We arrived late in the evening and was met by friendly reception staff. Lovely large room and comfortable bed, great location too.

Overall, a charming property with real character. The room was beautifully decorated, well appointed, and the bed was especially comfortable—perfect for unwinding. The bathroom was clean and modern, with good-quality fixtures, though some of the furniture and smaller fittings (like the towel rail and toilet roll holder) could use a bit of tightening or TLC.

One thing to note: our room was located above a communal area that wasn’t soundproofed, so it was a bit noisy until around 11 p.m.—not disruptive, but something to keep in mind for light sleepers.

The staff were friendly and attentive, though they were quite enthusiastic about promoting the on-site dining options. Not pushy, but we were asked several times if we wanted to add meals or make dinner reservations.

That said, it’s a lovely place with a lot of charm, and with just a few tweaks it could be a truly standout stay.

Staff and bed fine but the rooms need updating.The middle window has some issues and the bath plug doesn’t work properly.For the price being charged it’s around £50 to much in my opinion but once again the staff are fantastic.

Room was clean and tidy but bathroom was very tired looking with old electric power shower and no hot water.

Felt very sorry for the one staff member in the evening who was trying to run reception, take bar orders and serve dinner at once.

We have stayed here before and have always had an enjoyable experience . Rooms are always clean and comfortable . All the staff are friendly abd professional

Was nice for an overnight stay. Was quite hard finding hotel at night. Not lit up very well. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size. Food was a little pricey for what it was.

Very nice hotel on edge of the village and lovely staff and food

Perfect for our one night stay. Impressed with the staff, particularly the reception lady who made sure she sorted out a potential problem with our booking. Very nice room with a comfy bed. position is also excellent as we were able to walk into town. Very good breakfast with hot food made to order and included in our price.

Asian women was nice but that’s about it.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel was in good condition and surprised that more people were not staying and eating in the hotel.
Rooms size was decent. Found the beds were comfortable but a little small. A negative was after the second night noticed her pillow was dirty and was turned over so wasn't seen. Other than that room was clean

Very Comfortable bed - I slept really well (have osteoarthritis and spinal disease, so sleep impossible on a bad mattress), nice bathroom (though no space to put things like soap in the shower), not much cupboard space, just open shelves, but for short stay this is fine. No hairdryer in room, otherwise really nice place, and breakfast was good, though coffee not nice as it's clearly a dark roast and strongly made, I like strong coffee, but not dark roast, it's just bitter and all true bean taste lost. Will stay again when we come down to Witney to visit our nephew. Our usual hotel's been repurposed, so had to find another decent place to stay, and Sudbury house ticks the boxes.
