The location of the hotel will put you in the heart of Pittsburgh. However I had a bad experience while checking Friday night, the person at the front desk was rude, not helpful at all and had an attitude.
Requested to change the room he didn’t even bother looking at the computer to see if he had rooms.
Valet services suck, from 10 pm to 3 am Friday we were trying to check in the vehicle. No valet personnel was available, when to the front desk to ask about getting help. The same individual was being rude unhelpful, I asked if he can contact them and he said no.
The room looked dirty, the sheets the pillows need be upgraded. Restroom was stain, the floor look dirty.
Free drinks at 5.30 before ball game, close proximity to ball park, great view of ball park from near reception.
Unfortunately, my stay at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh was very disappointing. While the beds were comfortable, that was about the only positive part of the experience.
The room was not very clean, and within the first 10 minutes of arriving, the bathroom door handle fell off. I immediately contacted the front desk, but no one seemed concerned or interested in addressing the issue.
The experience at the hotel bar only made things worse. The bartender was rude, the drinks were poorly made, and the prices were far too high for the quality.
Overall, this stay fell far below my expectations. I won’t be staying here again and would not recommend it to others.
Reservation was under in wrong name
The breakfast was good, and the room was nice and clean (and spacious!). We liked that the location was central to other locations, and the view was beautiful.
We used the pool in the morning and it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned up from the previous night - there were used towels and a little garbage around and no clean towels to use. The flow of the breakfast area wasn’t great - it got really congested in some areas.
Been there to host a family reunion in 2019 so familiar with the hotel. Beautiful historic building. Comfy room with nice bed. The bar is nice and cozy. Parking is valet and not cheap but neither is anything else.

Black lady at checking and Black man at front desk later in evening were quiet rude
The size of the room for the price was good. The location of the hotel is nice, you are in the heart of downtown. Valet services were working very hard. Complimentary drink hour was fun!
Staff was unbeliveably rude. Room didnt have airconditioning and staff was rude about having to fix that. Only 2 valet workers causes slow time to get car. Wedding in hotel blocked the lobby for an hour and required other guests to stand outside and wait.
Die Lage
Die Klimaanlage konnte man nicht steuern. Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen. Morgens beim Buffet war es sehr voll unscharf wurden keine Tische frei geräumt und sauber gemacht.
In accurate booking pictures and description of trip said it two bedroom suite and it was only one bedroom and a pullout couch. They would not do anything to compensate us. They also knew it was misleading and refused to change anything about it. Neither phones work in our room we can’t call for any type of service if we had to. I couldn’t even call the front desk. The pictures on the wall for decorations still have the price tag on them very sloppy.
Buyer beware 2 bedroom suites are not actually 2 bedrooms. It’s 1 bedroom and 1 living room. Completely misleading. Spoke to the front desk. They are aware that that is how it’s marketed.
Lobby was nice
Front desk didn’t explain anything - I had to talk to the valet guy down stairs to find my room.
Didn’t know when and where breakfast was. Didn’t know the price of valet since that was my only option at 11pm at night but still charged my card without stating the prices
Booked my room on line - $100 more was charged with no explanation
