We stayed for Valentine’s weekend and had a great time staying here. Emma at the front desk, Randi at breakfast service (she is so warm and funny), and Alan at the bar - they all provided EXCELLENT and super friendly service the entire weekend. The building is historic and you feel that. The lobby of the building could feel more warm or festive, but the hotel lobby on the 25th floor is comfortable and modern. Location was great, but outside feels a bit gritty. Parking is off site but the price is not terrible for downtown. The room we stayed in faced the river (off in the distance), plenty of space, and very very quiet. The only bad thing that happened was someone’s dog peed (a lot) in front of the elevators. I called the front desk at 10pm and told them about it. When I went to breakfast the next morning, the entire hall smelled like urine. I told Emma at the front desk, and it was mopped up within 15 minutes.
This was not the greatest experience. The staff are friendly but that’s where it ends.
The rooms are very dated and it felt like everything was broken. The bathroom taps were broken. The shower door did not line up with the frame so water flooded the floor. About 1/3 of the lights were burnt out.
Housekeeping services were poor. It was unreliable. Some days it was in the morning, some days it was early evening and some days they did not show up at all.
Food was mediocre and I found a hair in my food.
I was advised that the area is safe, but there definitely is a homeless population in the neighborhood, so some guests may not be comfortable with that.
The staff at the front desk and restaurants are incredibly friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is good with the omelette station.
I would recommend looking at other hotels in Pittsburgh.
Everything
Check in way at the top
Great location!
Dawn went above and beyond to make sure our hotel stay was truly special for my kids. Great hotel, we had an amazing time! A wonderful holiday memory!
Driving away that's the best part
Room was disgusting. Corner room could see anything from where I was at. No help bringing or leaving with luggage. Terrible setup. Valet is 47?. Just all around experience terrible
The pool and friendly staff
N/a
having to figure out how the heck to get in. I drove in circles for 20 minutes, trying to figure out how to get positioned properly for the valet area. Ended up driving in the bus lane. Had a cop talk to me of course told him I was from out of town trying to get to the embassy and he told me he’d allow it this time. Thank God! it was horrible never again.
The location was perfect. The room was clean and as described.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference that was being held there and I just have to share my experience. There was a huge roach in my room. I had just unpacked and sat down and that’s when I saw it. Although they did give me a new room right away, I felt stressed and panicked my stay there now feeling like the hotel wasn’t clean. They did give me $100 off but I still feel like it should have been more. I kept going back and forth with them over the 3 days. I felt my experience de here should have been fully compensated as I do have a slight OCD and still think about that roach. I had a nightmare last night that I stepped on roaches in a hotel room with my bare feet. Just felt so gross the whole time I was there.
This is the second time we’ve stayed there, and we love the location and the hotel
There were multiple things in the room that were broken And the water pipes in the shower made loud noises and the furnace kept us up at night
The food was delicious, they had a wide variety to choose from, very happy with that.
Their tables are setup weird, my 15 year old grandsons comment and I agree with him.
The rooms were clean and nice. The food was cooked well. The front desk members were helpful.
Cleaning staff was on their phone not paying attention to what floor they got off of, people waiting for an elevator, trash bags left on an elevator. Popcorn all over the floor for hours in the main lobby area. The traffic flow for breakfast was awful! Weird lines with everyone in the way and no directionality. The dining area for breakfast needs to be completely reconfigured.
Everything was great
Nothing
The breakfast was a nice set up but me and my partner dnt eat pork so we were unable to eat meat… maybe in the future other meat proteins can be available but other then that ..Our stay was incredible we had a great time in the Downtown of Pittsburgh we will revisit 😊
I had stated if you can serve something other then pork for breakfast but our stay was still great
