Cheap and average condition, outside city centre
Pros:

There was a rooster next door waking us up at 4-5 in the morning, and there was no warm water. The service counter closed at night, so there wasn’t any help available until the next morning.

In a very local area and about 2 km to the city centre.

Perfect
Pros:

Perfect hotel, lovely clean new rooms and good wifi, little bit out the way from all the other hotels and restaurants etc, 40 minutes walk to main 'strip', 10 minutes from the bus station and 30 minutes walk to the train station. Would certainly stay again.

Comfiest beds!
Pros:

Our options were limited as we were only staying for one night and most hotels require you to book a two night minimum. That said, LKP was great and had hands down the best mattress of all of the hotels we stayed at over the course of our stay. The location is pretty removed from the tourist street which is nice if you want to be away from the tourist area but inconvenient if you want to be near travel agencies and have several restaurant options. It's a 40 min walk to the main tourist street. There is a great food market located nearby that has nearly no tourist activity. The doorman was very helpful. Be sure to look up the Thai name for the apartment I believe it was LikitPat because no one understood us when we said LKP!
