Pros:

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the staff were incredible. I checked in very late and the receptionist upgraded my room to a suite, which I didn't ask for but just goes to show the high standard of service they provide. The breakfast was excellent with an incredible choice and variety. Thank you will come back.

3rd Stay at Voco Riyadh . Negative this time
Pros:

This was my 3rd Stay in Voco Riyadh but this time my stay was disappointing. I stayed in the North Tower vs South Tower earlier. The room looked
old n claustrophobic ie not suitable for a good stay at all.

The worst experience I ever had in a hotel

Starting from the check in to check out, for the whole 6 nights, I literally had the worst experience ever.

the staff lack experience and basic hospitality skills, when I say basic I mean it.

I had a confoimred and paid booking for 6 nights with breakfast, howeber the recepionis kept argiun

amazing hotel; lobby, swimming pool, restaurants, reception, breakfast. lovely chocolate bar for free 5pm-7pm everyday!!!!
The only two issues was: certain rooms are facing the inside of the hotel (no view at all, no sunlight) & (the AC inside the room was soo noise)

Nice property; spacious room (premium room) - nice window view of King Fahad Road.

I wasn’t thrilled with breakfast; the salads, fruit, pastries and most breads were great. However the hot food was simply ok.

I’m a foodie - so I would have preferred a wider selection from day to day. It would also be great that some of the food be pared better (for example - there were Asian noodles one day but nothing else to accompany it, the day before there was a nicely prepared Asian chicken dish (maybe a Schezwan like sauce) but nothing to eat with it … the only thing that was fluid in thought (in my opinion) was the British breakfast foods, but even they were spread out (not by each other).

I’d also like to recommend that the Paratha, or any Indian bread offered, is prepared fresh — it’s not appealing under the heat lamp .. and thus the reason why people aren’t taking it (it’s dried out) .. and finally I’d suggest that the spring rolls, hash browns and any other fried things are on in one of the Shaffer dishes as it makes them lose their ‘crunch’ better if they are under a lamp in a metal serving pan.

I know you’re thinking after all this that I didn’t enjoy my stay, but I did - the hotel is lovely - and the staff is wonderfully professional and polite. And the hotel is Centrally located and at a great price.
