Fine for our purpose travelling with my daughter.
Pros:

Food was excellent. Bed and pillows comfy. Could open a window a bit.

Cons:

Someone prior to me had been smoking in the room and the room still smelt like an ashtray. Staff gave me some air neutralisa room spray which helped, as did having the window open. But still.....

Comfortable, clean, great location and lovely grounds
Pros:

Lovely breakfast , good service and polite staff .Room a good size and clean
Laura at the desk was brilliant and extremely helpful not just personally when she arranged my room to be near my friends but went the extra mile for our whole party.

Cons:

Bar area could have been better and felt the younger staff needed a bit more training but realised due to a wedding and a wake, extra staff had to be drafted in .
I also ordered a cream tea but there was no cream (clotted) available in the kitchen so had to just have jam and butter.

Very happy with our stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, the buffet was a full continental breakfast, and cooked options were available.

Cons:

The bathroom needs a little maintenance - a floor tile was loose. The entry to the shower might be tricky for older patrons - there is no way to stabilise yourself as you step into the bath.

We were disappointed with the overall standard of the hotel.
Pros:

The location was what we wanted. We chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the area . The hotel looked very nice online and we really thought it would be a special place to stay
The parking provision was accessible.

Cons:

The bedrooms were like dormitories dark and dingy we did not feel that we could relax in the room just not what we expected, we had to keep the windows open for freshness. We ordered a meal from the menu in the restaurant and when it came it looked awful - we brought this to attention of the waitress
they tried to sort out the problem but we did not want to upset them as they were polite and they did not cook the meal so we thought it best to pay and leave the restaurant. After all it was supposed to be our anniversary meal 🤨
