Location helpful staff except one who was particularly unhelpful
Beautiful pub. Helpful staff and awesome menu.
Bed seemed very short. Room was clean enough, I just didnt sleep well on the bed (I am 6'6").
Location , parking , clean comfortable well appointed rooms , friendly helpful staff , good breakfast offerings .
Bit nit picky …. but would be useful to have usb sockets in rooms
It was central. The room Beas large & comfortable.
The room was a good size. We had a superior room. It was as described.
The room ( accessible) was very good . Shower great Spotless and comfortable.
Food super . Staff very friendly and helpful . We couldn't eat in the upstairs dining room for breakfast as my husband couldn't manage the stairs and no lift so we were served in the restaurant downstairs . No problems .
The car parking .My husband is disabled . I had to drop him off near our room ( no disabled spaces available and then fetch the car from round the back of the hotel in the dark alone .Although it is lit it's not brilliant , and personally I didn't feel safe . Fortunately there was a space in main car park after our evening out .
This is a wonderful old former coaching Inn and has been extended in keeping with the older parts of the building. Situated on the High street, it is adjacent to the centre of Market Harborough, making it an ideal location for visiting the town. I was particularly impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of our room, we were in no. 48, which was a short walk through the lovely courtyard, which looked very inviting even in early February. I can imagine it is perfect on a warm summer's evening. The upstairs dining room was an utter delight, especially considering the price we paid. Certainly the nicest breakfast room we have been in, and food was good and plentiful. Bar and Eatery restaurant looked great too, but we did not use them as we were going to a private party at another venue.
I have been racking my brain for something to say here. But to no avail, everything was pretty perfect. I would certainly have no hesitation in visiting this hotel again should the circumstances arise for us to be in the locale.
Beautiful room, which we were told was a bridle suite. Lovely furnishings, comfortable 4 poster bed and a second room, which we were told was the bride’s dressing room. The WIFI was great throughout the hotel and had it not been 3 days of cold and pouring rain, the outside area of the hotel would have been a good place to relax in.
Unfortunately, the breakfasts were very poor. The so called hot buffet food was almost cold, on two mornings it had clearly been sitting around for hours and things like the eggs and baked beans had formed a skin and solidified. The bacon had dried up and the sausages were inedible. When the breakfast staff were told, one young girl said sorry, but no remedial action was taken and frankly no-one seemed to care much.
Compared to other hotels, there was very little selection of other breakfast food, other than some cereal and toast, which you had to prepare yourself.
Location in right in the centre of Market Harborough
Lovely building, clean rooms.
Lovely room, very clean. We had our dog with us and our hosts provided a package of treats, a toy and a bowl.
The weather, but there you go ... It is what it is.
Great central location. Spotlessly clean.
The bed's were the worst we had slept in for a long time. They definitely need new mattresses.
Fabulous hotel. Breakfast was good, location excellent.
The bedroom smelt as if there was 20 air fresheners in there, although there was actually none. Could be the cleaning products used, the smell was overpowering and even leaving the windows open we couldn't get rid of the smell.
Great location in town, clean, comfortable and spacious room. Very nice breakfast and lovely dinner.
Comfortable rooms and lovely staff
Disappointing cooked breakfast. The continental selection was lovely and of good quality but the full English lacked flavour, and the bacon was over cooked and dry. My colleague had the smashed avocado with cherry tomatoes which were undercooked & hard, the egg yolks were hard and the avocado flavourless.
