Pros:

The room was in very poor condition. The blind was broken and wouldn’t open, and the whole space had an unpleasant, damp, musty smell. A sock had been used to hold the window latch shut, which felt unacceptable. The toilet was in worse condition than an abandoned public facility. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay and decided to leave early.

Pros:

Checked in early evening with no problem, free upgrade to suite on 2 floors with a four poster bed! Some of the complaints in previous reviews seem to expect Premier Inn facilities forgetting that this is a ex-16th century coaching inn and it certainly shows its age, but it is a lot cheaper.
Yes, the websites need updating as they still give the impression with photographs that it has restraunt & bar facilities, but it does state they are 'coming soon'. The decor is dated and rather tired but the gentleman who checked us in and was in attendance during breakfast was very helpful.

Pros:

The property was chosen for the location!
The room was clean but very tiered!
The breakfast was adequate!
If you can afford a little more per room then do it
If you’re going to stay there I suggest wearing ear plugs when you go to bed!(very noisy roads)

Pros:

This property is nothing like advertised - it is extremely run down and in need of complete renovation x the pub side of it is shut so no hope of food or drink . It’s very very disappointing and we were unable to have a refund so had no option but to stay x the bedroom wasn’t too bad once you got past the musty entrance although only one towel for two people ( could of asked for more I suppose ) . The receptionist was in fact quite helpful and very apologetic but couldn’t refund us x the pub side was shut so no food or drink x the whole place is very sadly rundown but could be amazing x it’s very grubby and damp - although the heating was working in the bedroom x
I would not recommend this place to anyone

The Jersey Arms
Pros:

Friendly reception but room suite we stayed in desperately needs a lick of paint and carpet replacing

Pros:

This is a lovely and really old property with very interesting features. Unfortunately it is not now used to its full potential but was a comfortable place to stay for a night. We had everything we needed even though one or two places could do with updating. Meals, other than a buffet breakfast, are not provided, so it would be necessary to find somewhere else for an evening.

Jersey Arms
Pros:

It was easy to find and the car park had a clear sign. The reception was also clearly signed. The receptionist was welcoming.
The room was superficially clean but when I turned over the pillow there were black dots all over it. The bed was nicely presented but when I untucked it the sheets were still damp.
The en-suite was a good size but the whole toilet wobbled from the base, when you sat on it.
I accidentally went to the wrong room, my key opened the door fine - a shock to me and the relaxing occupants. Thankfully the room door had chains on the inside.
I would’ve reported this but there was no one around in the morning.

Pros:

The property was lovely - but sadly in need of repairs- our room was clean and acceptable - we got what we paid for - staff were friendly enough - shame about the overall appearance of what was a beautiful building at some point - the water wasn’t good to drink at all - so advise not to drink

unfortunate
Pros:

this stay is misleading. the Jersey arms is not a public house, it does not do meals, and the layout is cramped but adequate.

A stay of 2 halves
Pros:

A tale of2 halves, first night the room we stayed in was not great, see photos. Second night we were moved to another room which was so much better. Staff were so helpful, couldn’t fault them. I agree both with the 1 star and 5 star reviews that I’ve seen, it’s all dependent on the room you are in. Make sure you don’t pick a standard room! Saying all that I would stay again, it’s not far from Bicester village and there are some lovely pubs nearby. Breakfast is basic, but ok, just pastries, toast and yoghurt

Pros:

Good for price, pleasant area near Bicester, some rooms face road, although not much traffic, cars passing can be disturbing. Other rooms are quiet.

Tired and in poor condition
Pros:

The place is tired and needs a major overhaul. The bedrooms are tiny and the shower over the bath arrangement is so 10 years ago. Breakfast was adequate for pre-packed stuff. Nothing gluten free for my wife apart from a yoghurt. The price charged is for a better quality place. I wouldn't stay again and would advise any friends to stay.

Do not belueve the pictures
Pros:

Not what we were expecting. Pictures portray a country pub in the cotswolds. In reality this is a very rundown buIlding which was once a pub giving an amateurish attempt at a B&B.

Pros:

Bed comfy, plenty hot water, staff friendly, continental breakfast OK. Downside, room tired, paint off walls, window rotten and dirty windows, OK for price we paid, we only slept there
