We enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The restaurant food was lovely.
Wall paper ripped and hanging of the wall. Shower broken. Could not get the cold tap to work so got scolded when used shower. (Did tell reception) bed was comfortable and slept well.
The pool area is okay. Could do with loungers for non swimmers to seat comfortably with a book whilst family swim.
Breakfeast was okay could be done with being cooked longer and scrambled egg was more like a sloppy omelette. ( obv done in microwave)
Super friendly staff, accommodating, great food for both dinner and breakfast. Large room, plenty of towels, lots of choice for teas/coffee. The pool was lovely and warm, great for all ages. A few tiles were a little run down around the pool and windows were cloudy but this was minor. I would also advise descaler/filter for the kettle.
The hotel is beautiful, quiet and clean.

Hotel was quite tired and we were very disappointed by the fact that the bar wasnt open when we arrived, indeed it didnt open until around 18,30! It would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine after driving for 5 hours, we also found that the towels were quite rough and didnt smell very pleasant

Toilet not flushed, dirty towels hanging everywhere and lots of dead wasps on the window-sill. Spoke to reception - no apology or anything. Just told us to collect some towels when we next went past. Tired place but over-priced at £140.

Have stayed at the Royal Chase over many years now, it’s always spotlessly clean and the service is always first class…
Overall we were somewhat disappointed with our hotel room in Shaftesbury. While the room and bed were large it wasn’t particularly comfortable. The bathroom floor was dirty in places and our bed was really only just pulled up rather than made properly. There was a very strong smell of chlorine from the indoor pool as you walked down the corridor. Thank goodness there were mobile fans in our hallway which we turned on every day that we stayed. On the positive side parking was just outside and the hotel was very convenient to the sights of Shaftesbury. It was also quiet.
