the location, the size of the bedroom, the bar and the air conditioning and the food.
No Air conditioning in bedroom only one desk fan for a night when the temperature was high. Had to ask for another desk fan but they were abit old and rattled so couldn’t leave them on all night.
breakfast was great, buffet style but could also have something else cooked, i had poached eggs on toast with advocado, staff friendly and welcoming
the rooms were very warm but we did have a fan to help with the heat
Food quality at breakfast was poor but dinner was good.
Breaking service was poor. Fried eggs were crucified and some foods were not replaced in the hot buffet.
Staff helpful and polite.
1st room was ground floor, with pedestrian pathway immediately by the window. Strange smell in room and the supplied fan was damaged. We were 'upgraded' to an identical room, with an additional bed, meaning usable space was actually less. No remote for the TV, net curtains dirty and ripped and while trying to find the remote, found bits of biscuit under the bed. Receptionist helpfully found us a spare remote, unfortunately this didn't work either.
If we hadn't had to get ready for an event, we would have left for a different hotel.
Breakfast very average, no mention of the made to order options which we found after we had eaten.
Staff were good in the main
Accessibility was poor
Pool was cold inaccessible and changing rooms up flight of stairs.(I use a mobility scooter)
Very good. SET US UP FOR JOURNEY HOME. Good choice of food. Well set out. FRIENDLY staff.
Excellent service everything was fine.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Enjoyed the pool area, comfortable room.
The fabric of the hotel looks quite shabby.. Have stayed a few times, had expected some upgrading re refurbishment.
Lief personeel en zeer behulpzaam
Eerste kamer was niet oke kregen direct andere ochtend andere kamer
Friendly staff, great breakfast
Ideal if you are using the golf course, and lovely outside area for sitting/eating/drinking
Hotel has a faded air, needs a freshen up.
Lovely large room and bathroom facilities, excellent quiet location and excellent breakfast and evening meal.
A special mention to the lovely young waitress who served us dinner who was very helpful, professional, efficient and friendly
Location good for my purpose. Spa facilities.
Seating area and corridors looking tired.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, clean and had everything we needed. Although some aspects of the hotel building are looking slightly dated everything seems to be well maintained and organised. The leisure facilities were great, a reasonably sized pool and a good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. As our stay was short we only ate once at the hotel restaurant, on the terrace with a lovely view over neighbouring fields, we were perfectly happy with our meals. We visited a couple of pubs a short drive away and enjoyed their food too. The quiet rural location suited us perfectly.
Our room shared a (closed and locked) interconnecting door with an adjacent room; unfortunately we had a couple of chaps staying on business next door who seemed incapable of talking to each other without shouting and laughing. The noise insulation between the rooms would probably have been bearable without the interconnecting door. Given the age of the hotel we appreciate that noise insulation isn't going to be as good as might be expected from a new property. Breakfast was perfectly adequate but we felt there could have been a greater choice of cereals, pastries and breads.
Room was good size. Bed huge . Clean
Room very warm. Dated lots of scuff marks on walls.
Leisure centre ( pool) couldn't get Jacuzzi to work. Didn't know I needed a £ for locker .
Good value for money, nice location, helpful staff, wide variety at breakfast 🙂
Five steps or steep outside, car-park slope to get to and from an “accessible” room with a disabled bathroom was far from ideal. Second room bathroom was overly snug.
