The welcome hotel is the original luxury hotel in Vadodara. But now it is showing its age. The rooms are comfortable but look at bit dated. Our original room had water logging in bathroom and we had to change the room. The lobby and other common areas look good. The location is the best part of it. It is in heart of Alkapuri area and very central to shopping, restaurants, railways and airport.
The staff is very good. The breakfast buffet is excellent.
The rooms are a bit dated. There are limited charging outlets in the room. The hall carpets are worn.

We paid in advance and We had the balance left from our stay and we were told that the remaining amount will be refunded to us within 3 working days. Its already more than 45 days but we haven’t received back the money. Tried reaching hotel many times but no response from them
On our last night of our stay we were waken up to a rat in our bedside table. There was no windows in the room and the room was cleaned that same morning.
We caught the rat in a box and called reception, which sent aember of staff. Staff didn't seem too surprised, and released the rat just outside. We couldn't go back to sleep that night and had to dispose of our box with the contents inside. Completely compromised our safety and messed our night up of sleep, very disappointed with the hotel cleanliness.
The hotel had 1 night taken off our bill and some fries and Cokes we had order another day. Also very disappointed with the compensation. This is how tolerant they are with rats walking around their clients bedrooms.
