The experience
Pros:

I should have anticipated the service from the moment i walked into the reception... Despite calling the hotel manager for directions a day before checking in, the receptionist was totally unaware of my reservation. The swimming pool was dirty, WiFi was suspiciously down throughout my stay and some water pipes had broken, leaving constant drips on the stairwell and in the first room i was given. There were mosquitoes in the room, it was dusty, stuffy and the lights were too dim giving the impression of a seedy hotel rather than a cozy one. Located near a busy market and one of the more shady parts of the city, i was advised not to keep late nights. I checked out early and noticed that neither the receptionist nor security guard were at their posts despite tellibg them the night before that i would be leavibg early. After waiting for almost half an hour, i had to let myself out so i wouldn't miss my bus. I certainly will not be going back.

Inglesias sucks!
Pros:

First off, the staff wrre unaware of our coming and throughout our stay we had to keep showing them our booking as well as trying to explain that the room had been paid for. All this despite having called the Manager to ask for directions a day before we arrived.

It is a seedy hotel with dim lights and overly loud music blaring from the poolside which made conversation practically impossible in our suite. The pool was colonised by local riff raff and the water was obviously dirty but wasn't treated, so swimming was out of it for us. Service was terrible and there were leaky pipes all over the place (particularly along the stairwell, the upper suites and some bathrooms). The WiFi was suspiciously down throughout our stay and we had to share our dusty room with huge mosquitoes (we took care of our unwanted roommates by purchasing a can of insecticide).

I certainly will not be going back and neither should you.
