Some pro some cons..not for picky people
Pros:

VERY central, you have ferry, bus stop, shopping center and restaurants in max 15 min walk. And the staff was very sweet

Cons:

The clean situation, as mentioned by other guests, is BAD. It was washed, but still unclean. Especially the floor, reminded me of some pubs, sticky/greasy. Booking should watch for requirements, because an accomodation can be very simple, which it was, but the cleaning HAS to be there. To show that I am objective, I will post the amount of dust collected in a day by my house slippers..which is inappropriate.

It's close to the city and walking distance

Cons:

Room I stayed in underneath one of the bed was disgusting with rubbish under it, I only discovered it when I lost something so I was looking underneath the bed if I lost it.

It was ok as it was close to everything but I wouldn’t stay there again

The pool could have been heated as no sunlight gets to it
There were little bugs all through the kitchen area
It would have been good to have a small table and chairs to have dinner on

We enjoyed our stay there and it's good value for money in a great location
Pros:

The location is fantastic and it's good value for money. It has everything you need in a fully self contained unit

Cons:

The units are a bit dated and the mattresses on the bunk beds are a bit soft. No bedroom door between the main bedroom and the bunk bed room.

We enjoyed our time in Cairns.
Pros:

Easy to access, space for all four of us

Cons:

Maybe having a change machine in the laundry.
Not sure anything could be done but the noise level was quite high at times.

Perfect location. Comfortable for a night or two.
Pros:

The hotel was ideally located; walking distance from the esplanade, cafes and restaurants. I had ferried in the morning from Green Island and was able to walk to the hotel.

Cons:

I think because the air conditioner is old fashioned and in the window, it meant that noise from outside (and neighbouring apartments) filtered into the room.

Do not stay at this place! Dirtiest place I have stayed ever!
Pros:

Not much. There were blood soaked mattresses and urine on the sheets.

Cons:

The dried blood soaked into the mattresses, the bed bugs, the urine on the blankets, and the black mold on the shower and floors. They wouldn't even change the sheets when called about the issue afterhours. I slept on corner of couch and elderly mother slept in wheelchair all night to avoid the risk of communicable diseases and the fact that all the other hotels in town were booked up for the night.
