It was ok overall but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I like.
Pros:

It was close to the venue where we were going to see a concert and had good restaurants close by. The parking garage was good but should have been included in the price of the room for as expensive as it was. Bed was comfortable. Nice pool.

Cons:

The air conditioner did not cool the room. It was very hot and humid and even after a couple of hours. We were very uncomfortable. We informed the gentleman at the front desk who assured us he would ask the “engineer” about it and call us back. No call was received and the room did not cool down until the next morning. Also, the gentleman at the front desk appeared as though his face would crack if he were to smile. The buffet was total chaos.

Good stay. Great comfy bed. But not up to usual standard.
Pros:

The room smelt of smoke.

Cons:

Room smelt like it was a smokers room.
No ironing board or coffee pod machine and phone did not work..
Have stayed many times at hotel but this was the first time I have ever experienced these issues.

Nice for what we needed, probably won’t stay again.
Pros:

Lovely room, the view of the Showgrounds were pretty cool.

Cons:

I had booked and paid for a cheese platter and bottle of wine to be in our room on arrival however when we got there we were told there wasn’t any room service staff available so the best they could do was 5pm (when it should have been in the room at 3pm). It was meant to be a surprise for my husband so that was obviously given away… and miraculously they were able to bring what I’d ordered about 25 minutes after we cheeked in. It did make the start of our stay less than what it should have been.

Location suited us & fairly comfortable but not as good as I remember Rydges from other locations!
Pros:

Room quite comfortable, staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast fairly good.

Cons:

Housekeeping was not as good as expected; The bathroom floor was not cleaned as there was some foil on the floor by the door (from a strip of tablets) when we arrived and it was still there two days later when we left!
The bathroom bin was not emptied nor was soap dish cleaned. Our dirty towels were removed but only two bath towels and one hand towel were replaced, no face clothes, bathmat or second hand towel (just two bath towels left in the wardrobe)! The room looked as though it had had a cursory clean and the carpet near the beds was pretty grubby!

Fantastic location; so many dining options. Great view of the arena from our room. Friendly, helpful staff; fast room service
