My Husbands breakfast was excellent as usual

My breakfast has been excellent on previous stay.
Unfortunately on this occasion I had poached eggs on toast and unfortunately
They had only a touch of yolk in each and over cooked. But i am sure if I had complained they would have replaced ( but I didn't I just left my breakfast)

Really enjoyed our stay but the refurbishment of the upper floors is well over due

Fantastic position in Lytham
Lovely bar area and restaurant very smart
Nice atmosphere

Cons:

Bedrooms are not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel and need an upgrade
Bathrooms are very clean but dated
Bedroom furniture is disappointing for a luxury hotel

Ottimo hotel molto accogliente e gradevole!
Pros:

Hotel molto bello in vecchio stile inglese e molto ben curato. Lo staff gentilissimo per ogni richiesta o necessita'. Il parcheggio e' compreso. La colazione molto buona e generosa e si puo' scegliere alla carta oltre ad un ricco buffet.
La camera abbastanza spaziosa, pulita e dotata di ogni confort, letto molto comodo.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff were helpful and efficient

Cons:

The room was completely inadequate. We had booked a family room which was dirty, stained and ridiculously hot. Tiny inadequate bathroom. A fan had been provided in one of the rooms but it did nothing to address the heat. Due to the low ceiling and small windows the temperature was completely unacceptable- even the corridor was noticeably far cooler. The whole family barely slept and considering the cost of the room we would have been better off staying in a much cheaper hotel. The room did not reflect the standard of a supposed 4 star hotel. I’m not sure if “family” room equates to sub-standard somehow at the Clifton Arms but if definitely felt that way.

Enjoyable stay, great breakfast, and a great location.
Pros:

Property is clean , modern and in a great location.

Cons:

Not enough drawers to put clothes away, and windows were locked. It was a few of the hottest days of the year and we couldn’t open the windows, and there was no air conditioning, although there was a fan.
