What can I say…. An amazing week had and so much so we already booked for same time next year.
All staff work endlessly and the animation team was one of the best we have seen. Times pumping all day atmosphere was fab.
Food didn’t disappoint and recommend the omelette at breakfast.
Cleaners are outstanding and our room was left beautiful every single day and fresh bottles of water left in room.
Only few things I’d maybe change. The bars ran out of glasses every night especially in sports bar! We found the bar quite poor. And where asked to pay for spirits but we are all inclusive.
We always bring our own juice cups so that was a blessing.
We loved our stay and definitely recommend ❤️
First of all, we didn’t even book this hotel, we actually booked Dar Atlas who separated us from our family and sold us this hotel as an adults only, and forced us to check in here instead, due to over booking because they were having refurbishments. To say these rooms are outdated is a pure understatement. They were completely nasty, unclean - not once did the bedding get changed, there was all sorts of insects, dead and alive hanging out in cobwebs in the bathroom, pubic hairs melts coming back up in the sink, mould around all of the silicone and even around where water comes out, the shower head was so bad that my hair would go greasy when I washed it, it wasn’t the water as it was fine in the outdoor shower. At one point we were not given clean towels, we chases this up 5 times with reception who kept laughing at us telling us different things, so we never actually got our towels, we ended up just checking out. There was a massive thunder a lightning storm with huge downpours, we were in Riad 8, so when we got to our disgusting room
The door wouldn’t even open, my friend had to walk back to reception laughing at him drenched. There was also no phone in the room. The balcony was so disgusting I wouldn’t even wear a hazmat suit to sit on it.
If you’re not French don’t expect to be treated well by staff, they’re completely discriminant, we
Asked for late check out, they’re told us every day to comeback, we did, on the day of departure they told us three times to come back at different times, to be told there’s none, but we watched a French family get late check out. The suitcase area is not secure and my case had been opened and a zip snapped, they couldn’t have cared less. The food was rubbish, we only had it here one night, it was so cramped and small. Every time I was in the room my throat and tonsils would hurt severely but when I’d leave it they would start to get better, so who knows what is wrong with the
Room. The lights to the stairs of the blocks never work at night so it’s dark and dangerous. I’d rather sit in a bath of acid then ever return to this abhorrent hotel. If you are British, please don’t
To be honest I was very skeptical after looking at the negative reviews however our experience was more than fantastic. Water park, pool were well maintained and staffed. Main pool was heated and aqua Park with multiple slides was so thrilling for the kids. Bar has constant service for drinks throughout the day. There was so much food variety for kids to pick and choose. Staff at the restaurants and servicing the rooms were very friendly at polite. Reception staff was always helpful.
Few suggestions, there should be map of the resort which should be handed over at start to get idea of where things are.
We arrived late at night and it was raining heavily, it would have been ideal if we were guided to our building and room.
The room that we were first allocated wasn't the best so the next day we changed to a different which was all good.
There is bus service to Marrakesh city which is cheaper than taxi available from outside. However it needs to be booked a day in advance.
Overall experience was good and good value for money.
What an experience it was at this hotel, and not in a good way. After reading reviews I thought it can not seriously be that bad and it was.
At meal times you have to hunt for clean glasses and cutlery.
Staff mainly the men are so rude it’s unbelievable.
If you have a purple wrist band you are ignored by most of the staff. Check in on first day arrived after a flight delay man on reception was so rude, didnt even explain where we needed to go for our rooms, was just expected to find them.
When it says all inclusive it’s not, there is limited time you can get snacks and trying to order them at the snack bar is a challenge in self.
Only good thing about the hotel was the cleaning lady nabiela she was fantastic so friendly and accommodating to us communication was excellent, fresh towels every day.
Our rooms were in the block 900 and our rooms went to bad beds were comfy, had to turn the fridge of as was very noisy.
My advice if you are coming with children is pack water toys as the shops tried to charge me 500 dm for two rubber rings that you can get in Poundland for a couple of quid.
Bring water bottles also as they only provide one bottle of water per room per day.
There are water stations in restaurant where you can fill up them when they are working.
The weather was not great when we were there so we didn’t get the full entertainment package.
The water park is great kids loved it but not everything was open to access and they only had 8 rings for everyone to use, so kids had to wait until I had a word with the lifeguard as same family used them multiple times and quite a queue was building.
I dread to think how the hotel operates at the height of season with everything over all.
I reported everything that I felt needed improvement to the customer services manager.
This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel I’d say it’s lucky if it got a 3 star rating.
The hygiene for cutlery and glasses is very poor staff rinse through a bowl then dry and put on table and disposable cups go through the dishwasher.
There was good and bad with the whole experience but I would never return to the VALERIA MADINA club resort again.
My grandsons loved the heater pool and the entertainment staff at the pool were excellent all friendly and welcoming.
I think that a hotel that has different coloured wrist bands for different nationalities says a lot about the place.
English is purple and other nations are turquoise and staff are more accommodating to the turquoise band wearers.
If you have booked the hotel just be open minded as your experience might be totally different to ours.
Taxis are cheap to catch to places.
My lot did the quads and said it was a great experience.
Make she bring insect repellent and plug ins as they were biting and very painful when they did.
Our stay at [Valeria Madina] was a profound disappointment. Having read positive feedback prior to booking, I am in utter disbelief that this resort/ establishment has received any 5-star reviews; our experience was the polar opposite, defined by systemic failures and safety risks.
Furthermore, upon addressing several issues with staff and management the lack of care, concern and nonchalance was quite frankly appalling!
Critical Issues:
• Health & Safety: We were served dangerously undercooked poultry and encountered cockroaches and bird droppings in dining areas. Unlit pathways made navigating the resort at night hazardous.
• Accessibility: Management ignored our request for a room suitable for our autistic child, placing us hundreds of meters from reception in a location that caused him severe mental and physical distress.
• Facility Failures: No functional AC, no Wi-Fi. The constant failure of our room key cards was beyond frustrating, especially given the repetitive, exhausting treks to reception it required. One balcony was unusable due to nesting peacocks, and clean towels were rarely provided.
• Service: The "all-inclusive" bar frequently ran out of basic drinks and ice, some staff members were rude, and promised services never materialised.
This trip was a source of significant stress and financial strain. Given the professional standards expected of an easyJet Holidays partner, the reality of this experience fell abysmally short!
This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. What was meant to be a 40th birthday celebration turned into a stressful and genuinely concerning stay.
The hygiene standards were appalling. We were served undercooked poultry multiple times, which is a serious health risk. The dining area was infested with birds flying around while people were eating, leaving droppings on tables. We also saw cockroaches in public areas, and one of our rooms had a fly infestation.
Also the toilets and urinals were blocked and flooding onto toilet floor.
The hotel is poorly maintained and unsafe. Pathways were completely dark at night, making it dangerous to walk around the resort. The door to one of our rooms was so stiff it required full body force to open and close, which actually resulted in injury. Key cards constantly failed, forcing repeated long walks to reception.
We specifically informed the hotel about an autistic child in our group with mobility difficulties, yet we were placed far away from facilities with no consideration whatsoever. Combined with the lack of lighting, this caused real distress and could easily have resulted in a serious accident.
Basic amenities were either broken or nonexistent:
• No working air conditioning
• No Wi-Fi despite it being advertised
• Constantly having to chase for clean towels
• The bar regularly running out of drinks at peak times
Customer service was just as poor. Staff made repeated promises (like currency exchange “tomorrow”) that never materialised, and one member of our group was treated very rudely.
This hotel falls far below acceptable standards in every way—hygiene, safety, maintenance, and service. It should not be sold as part of a holiday package in its current condition.
AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!!!!
Arrived to have to wait 4 hours for a dirty room, then we had no toilet paper and no towels. The staff and management were informed and still unable to provide the standard of service they said they could
We have had an incredible holiday. The staff have been incredibly friendly - from the entertainment team to the housekeeping and waiting staff.
A big thank you to Ouma, Aziz, bono and Salah for making the poolside fun and keeping everyone entertained.
Very clean, lots of choice and overall am amazing option for a 3 star holiday.
Will definitely be back!!
We had a fantastic holiday here! There was plenty for the children to do and they had an amazing time. We went on many excursions which we really enjoyed and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you, they went out of their way to be so kind and lovely. The grounds are kept so beautifully clean and the staff work tirelessly. The rooms were run down but the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean, we only used the room to sleep so it was no problem. They are refurbishing the hotel rooms at the moment. We would absolutely return here, the only thing is if you have teenagers they might be upset that Wifi only works in the reception area but I really enjoyed not being contactable for 8 days for a proper break! We would absolutely return here it was a bargain!
We come here for a week for my niece's 4th Birthday. There was 11 of hs altogether, we had a fantastic week. The food was amazing. The entertainment was also amazing, they had entertainment around the pool throughout the day and the daytime/evening entertainment near the restaurant was brilliant. The animation team were all brilliant with the children and made such a fuss of my niece for her birthday. We will definitely be back! Thank you to all 😊
We arrive in July family of 6... 2 rooms booked. Can't wait live Morocco. How do we ask for low rooms and near each other due to care needs... thanks in advance
The room lacks a coffee or tea station. A deposit of 300 dirhams is required to have a kettle in the room, which is provided but not with cups, spoons or tea/coffee making utensils. I always travel with my own coffee and sugar. One of the two room phones is functional but the number is unavailable for calling reception.
Wi-Fi is only available near the front door. And the reception area and bar.
The snack bar offers limited options primarily pastries and frequently runs out of beer and wine. Many of the vending machines and water dispensers are also broken.
The pizza and chips area is consistently busy. Only one person is making a 10-inch pizza at a time and managing the fryers and serves only two slices. There are many pasta options available. However, I personally prefer Moroccan tagine which is rarely served. The tagine is always vegetarian. Turkey legs are made sweet and chicken legs are also. The beef steak is not tender and is difficult to cut with a knife or chew. The lamb leg lacks flavour. I was very disappointed with the food. The dessert choices are also unsatisfactory.
The animation team primarily spoke French and interacted with French people.
We are five people in two rooms and returned to our rooms to find that two of our five bath towels had been taken by the cleaners and not replaced with clean ones. The bathroom was also not cleaned during our stay.
A positive aspect of the hotel was that one of the pools was heated and we enjoyed the good sunshine when we were there in early April.
We are at the resort now and really wanted to love it but sadly have been disappointed. We arrived late at night and weren’t offered any assistance with our luggage despite the room being some distance away and on the second floor without a lift. We then discovered we only had 3 beds and booked as a family of 4. We had to visit reception twice to ask for another bed which took about an hour to arrive and made an already cramped room much smaller.
We found the kids club and Spa really good and spent most of our time at the pool by the water park which was lovely and quiet. The food is okay, it was very busy over Easter weekend and it did often make the buffet experience stressful.
The main problem we had was the lack of information from the hotel staff who didn’t explain anything on arrival, it took us almost 2 days to figure out how to refill water bottles despite asking at reception more than once.
The other issue is that not only is the entertainment geared towards French guests but it is also exclusive of other nationalities. This has impacted our stay as it didn’t always feel welcoming.
My stay at Valeria Madina Marrakech was an overall average experience. While the resort has some nice features, there were several issues that made the stay less enjoyable than expected.
One of the main problems was the number of mosquitoes, which made it difficult to relax, especially in the evenings. The room itself was also uncomfortable due to the lack of air conditioning, making it far too hot to sleep properly.
The room size was another major issue. We stayed as a family of four, and the room felt very cramped with four beds squeezed into a small space. It was not comfortable at all. When we asked to change rooms, the alternative offered was also unsuitable—switching from three beds to four beds in another small room didn’t solve the problem.
The food was another disappointment. While it was acceptable, the variety was quite limited and became repetitive over time. I was hoping for a wider selection, especially considering the location.
Service could also be improved. There was no assistance offered with carrying luggage to the room, which was particularly frustrating as the room was located quite far from the main areas of the resort.
Overall, the experience was just okay. With better attention to room comfort, service, and food variety, it could be a much more enjoyable place to stay.
Location is beautiful with nice weather and rooms. Staff are also very kind and the resort is regularly cleaned and maintained.
Bushra gave us a warm welcome and we stayed for 7 nights and everyday was packed with amazing experiences.
They served varieties of great meals which were available throughout the day
Staff were happy to help when we had issue with the door of our room and it was fixed with no time. The o ly issue we had was that the Ac in our room didn't work well and it could be warm at time for Scottish traveller.
Entertainment was great and the environment is lovely with so much to see.
Kids loved the place and absolutely had a great experience.
The Valeria Medina Animation team were brilliant, very good for the kids and they interacted very well!
Ghana and animation team were amazing, they were fun and entertaining, always getting families involved, but not being pushy. Although there isnt much around, The animation team make the hotel a brilliant place and you are entertained day and night, amazing fun team, pika and Katy too, there english was good and always had a laugh, whether it be in the dining hall or around the grounds A++++++ myself and my husband and kids will miss the team, they are GREAT
Not a good experience at the airport was worried about the holiday but when we arrived at the hotel things were easy food to suit everyone rooms cleaned daily entertainment team was excellent got everyone mixing and having fun must do quad bikes on get my guide around £15 each will return
Experience was ok , food and drinks not the best but the animation team safa will and the rest were fab !!! Thank you
