Great atmosphere
Pros:

Hotel Tax- we paid £60 for 2 people for the 14 days.
If you want pool towels, You have to pay a deposit of 100 dirham which you will get back is around £8 (Bring your own). Also when you go for your towels they’re not helpful at all. We went to change our towels in the morning and were told to come back at 6pm. We did and were told to come back in the morning. After a few harsh, but fair words we got them changed.
The safe rental in your room is 10 dirham per day.
There’s a Tv, small fridge and a hairdryer in your room.
No iron or Kettle.
We only had 3 plug sockets in our room but brought an extension, with 4 sockets on it.
There are a lot of mosquitoes, so if you get bitten best to bring some spray and a Zapper.
Rooms are large but a bit outdated.
No bath, just a shower. They do provide soap in a dispenser in the bathroom.
There is only 6 coat hangers on the rail, but plenty of drawers and shelves to put clothes.
Cleaners come every day.
You won’t go hungry, food served in different areas from 7.30am to 11pm. Lots of different choices each day. You wouldn’t go hungry. Then at an extra cost you can get food from 11pm to 1am.
All inclusive drinks start at 10am and finish at 11pm. They have a large, gin, vodka, whisky, red- white-rose wine and do about 7 cocktails. You have to pay for Baileys, Bacardi, Martini , Champagne, Etc.
There’s a kids club .
The entertainment team at night are more focused on French tourists than English, as they say everything in French and don’t repeat what they said in any other language. But about 70% of people did speak French.
They did a British Pub night and a pool party.Once again, most of it was in French, a couple of English songs. The only thing British was The Union Jack flags that they put up.
Make sure you go to the bar for a soft or alcoholic drink before you go to eat, as you don’t get anyone asking you if you want anything. The staff were very busy clearing the tables, for other people to sit down.
Unfortunately my husband got bad tooth ache and we went to reception to see if the could recommend a dentist. We were told to see the nurse on site. We went to see her and she couldn’t help us. We ended up looking on the internet and finding one , got a taxi there and he waited to bring us back(400 dirham)
The aqua park is great. There is another pool in the park and food huts. These are an extra cost if you want anything from there to eat or drink.
There’s also an adult only pool, again at an extra cost.
We booked to go into and return from Marrakesh with the tour operator in a room on the left of reception. Only 80 dirham for the two of us.
There are no inside communal toilets, only two outside next to different pools.

Great hotel, Poor entertainment.
Pros:

We stayed here last week, it was a great hotel.
The pools were lovely, and had regular activities that people could get involved in, we particularly enjoyed the foam party in the pool on the afternoon, it was great fun. The main pool had lively music throughout the day which created a fun atmosphere.
The staff were all friendly and we didn’t have a problem with any of them in terms of their understanding of English.
There was a shuttle bus from the hotel into Marrakech and back for just 20 dirhams which ran every 2 hours and was easy to book at the excursions desk.
The hotel was clean, we had no issues with cleanliness. Yes, there were lots of birds and wasps around the food areas – but this is Africa, so to be expected. If you are going to have issues with this we suggest booking a less exotic country.
The food was our main worry however it was lovely, lots of variety. I’m a really fussy eater so was pleased to find that there were burgers, chicken nuggets, and pizzas available throughout the day. I didn’t struggle at all, I’m not keen on veg but there was always plenty of meats available. The eggs on a morning were lovely and are cooked in front of you on request, to your own liking e.g., fried or omelette. Also, always plenty of hard boiled eggs to go at as well.
There was a good selection of cocktails available on the all-inclusive menu, however, the only let down with these was that they weren’t served at the pool bar, we would have to walk an extra minute or so round the corner from the pool to get these.
The main let down with this place, as others have said, were the entertainment team. All of the entertainment was in French and did not cater for the English at all, and to be fair, it didn’t look very good anyway. There was a Queen tribute act one night and it turned out to be the entertainment team dressed up and miming to the songs – a huge let down. We'd have loved to see some professional singers, musicians, or local performers brought in during the week.
We booked a few trips while we were there, however, we’d strongly recommend using getyourguide to book these, as they cost a lot more when booked through the hotel, for example, the hot air balloon trip was £50 each, and in the hotel was £150 each! We enjoyed the Agafay desert trip, riding quad bikes and camels in the desert and having dinner with a show, we also enjoyed the trip into the Atlas mountains, a day in Marrakech via the shuttle bus, and a hot air balloon trip. The hot air ballon trip was amazing and we’d strongly recommend doing this while you are here.
A final tip: If you give the bar staff a tip, they remember you and give you your drinks in larger glasses!

A Pleasant Surprise – Highly Recommended Despite Mixed Reviews 5/5 Stars
Pros:

A Pleasant Surprise – Highly Recommended Despite Mixed Reviews
5/5 Stars
We stayed at Club Marmara Madina (Valeria Madina Club Resort) in June 2026 and had a really enjoyable time. After reading quite a few negative reviews online, I was a bit nervous, but we found the hotel very pleasant and genuinely nice overall.
The room was clean and comfortable with no issues at all — we’ve had two fantastic, quiet nights of sleep so far, which is exactly what we needed. The food has been consistently good with plenty of variety and no complaints from us. Service is efficient too; we’ve always been served promptly with no problems.
The grounds are lovely, and there are plenty of sunbeds available. Yes, there are a lot of French guests and most of the entertainment is in French, but it hasn’t been an issue for us at all. It’s all good vibes and we’ve felt very welcome.
If you’re looking for a relaxing all-inclusive stay with nice pools, good food, and friendly service, I’d definitely recommend this resort. We’re really enjoying it!

Do not stay here…
Pros:

We got home from this hotel yesterday and honestly happy to be home. We originally booked the Valeria Atlas next door, but were moved to the Medina as there was a bird in our room and it was vile. Upon arrival we were happy to see that the room at the Valeria Medina was nicer. However this positive change did not last long.

The food here is simply not good. If you have allergies, dietary requirements, have children, or are a picky eater do not come here. Food is covered in flies and restaurant is full of birds who pick at the food. Breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs and plain croissants. Lunch was the better meal by far. And dinner was always disappointing, often only serving 5/6 different dishes (majority were types of tagine). I understand that it’s traditional Moroccan food, but not well rounded food. Chicken nuggets were simply hollow in the middle, burgers red inside, and chips so oily it came out when squeezed. Apart from this, the desserts at the restaurant were great every day. We both suffered with upset stomach throughout the holiday.

At the snack bar (which only served pizza), you were limited to 2 slices of pizza per person. When asking for 3, was told, “non, deux.” This doesn’t seem very all inclusive? (These slices were 1 small pizza cut into 8.)

Drinks were okay, alcohol wasn’t nice but that’s what you expect from an all inclusive! Absolutely no sugar free soft drinks available, I am type ONE diabetic so try and avoid full sugar drinks as it makes me unwell, and I only drank water throughout the majority of the stay. However, we were limited to one litre bottle per room, per day. Bear in mind that it was 40°c and there were 2 of us. When we asked for another bottle we were told no, we even said we’d pay and were told no. After an argument with the man at reception, he reluctantly gave it to us. If you do come here, bring a refillable bottle.

The rooms were simply not nice. The floor in the room was so dirty that my feet were black after walking from the bathroom to the bed. TV in the room didn’t work. Hand soap and body wash in the bathroom were empty. The shower pressure was so terrible that if you turned the shower head upside down it didn’t come out.

Our room was seriously infested with ants, they were on the floor, the windows, and even in the bed. This was probably due to all of the open holes and cracks in the walls as well as the sliding door which didn’t shut properly. The front door also had a huge gap under it.

Walls, the bathroom, shower, and plug sockets were all covered in mould. Alongside the skirting board was also large spores of black mould.

The room did not have a do not disturb hanger for the door- so if you like to sleep in on holiday expect to be woken up by the cleaners letting themselves in.

Receptionists were all hostile throughout the stay. They do not care if you have issues, enquiries or are asking a simple question. I asked one man if it was possible for him to break down a 200 dirham note into smaller money, to which he said “You can’t read? It shut at 4”. A “no” would have sufficed. On our first day, we were speaking to a receptionist as we were getting our key and wristbands. Being English, the receptionists began to speak to eachother in French, talking badly about myself and my partner, calling us picky, needy and annoying. Although English, I speak French! I did not confront the receptionists as was simply intimidated by the 4 men behind the desk.

Furthermore, each guest was branded by the country they’re from with a different colour all inclusive wristband. English had purple, French had blue etc. Some may argue this is for language purposes, however I would argue differently. People from France were more often than not more acknowledged by staff, and served first at bars and the restaurant. Many other English people at the hotel agreed this was the case.

The sports bar staff didn’t seem to want to serve anyone in their bar! After 11pm food was available but at a cost, which is fine, if they let you order! Tried to order some food to be told “no, we don’t have”, to then see some people after us having their order of the same items taken and accepted. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes and left eventually as we were ignored completely by both staff.

2 out of the 6 water slides were switched on during our week long stay. Lifeguards closed the water slides early and then swam together in the pool instead. The security guard outside the slides was often asleep. At the quiet pool, lifeguards stood in bushes and smoked, completely out of sight of the pool.

Plates, food, and glasses were scattered around the hotel floors, same plates were still there coming back from dinner, then midday the day after.

Housekeeping staff, ladies in the restaurant and the man who conducted the evening entertainment were all lovely.

The pools were cool but not freezing, they were nice temperature. The pools were both large and relatively well maintained. It was nice to have one pool with activities and one calm pool, although they were 10 minutes walk away from each other. Although at the pool we did hear the same Bruno Mars song about 30 times in the 2 hours we were there.

I would absolutely not recommend either of the Valeria Hotels to anybody. If you’re happy with a dirty room, a pool, food that upsets your stomach, and drinks that taste like hand sanitiser, then this is the hotel for you.

Good holiday but the staff were not great
Pros:

The hotel chain has been going for 20 years and I don't think the hotel has been done up in that time.
The room had cracks in both the shower tray and sink, the air conditioning thermostat knob was broken as well as lots of scuff marks and edging of doors coming away.
The grounds were immaculate and the cleaners were brilliant.
The rest of the hotel staff couldn't cope as they seemed short staffed. No glasses on numerous occasions so we had to wait for the drinks. On our first night we had 6 different types of glasses/beakers for a drink. Some mornings there were still glasses out around the pool left over from the night before as well as plates from the pool bar restaurant which caused problems with bees, of which there were plenty and made worse because of the lack of staff cleaning away the empties regularly.
The food was ok, although the breakfast wasn't up to much for the British. Lunch and dinner was ok with something always available to eat.
But the most disappointing part was the lack of drinks in the all inclusive package, the local beer was excellent though but only Gin, Whiskey and Vodka available, no Brandy, Malibu type local drink or own Bailey's unless you purchased from the premium bar.
Maintenance around the complex was non existent as 8 people tripped/fell down the same hole and all that the staff did was place a pot over it. There were plenty of broken glass about which took time to be cleared up.
The main pool seemed a bit greeny in colour but the small little one was perfect to cool down in.
The other pool as advertised on the TUI website was paid for in both food and drink and the sunbeds which wasn't advertised by TUI to pay for.
Overall a decent week away with fantastic weather. I would go back to Morrocco but not to this hotel chain.

Très décevant
Pros:
