Pros:

Staff were attentive and friendly, particularly the guy doing the breakfasts and check out.

Cons:

My room (room 5) was *incredibly* noisy overnight and the light on the WiFi thing on the plug socket went off like a strobe light all night. Really irritating.

Lovely food but facilities now a little dated.
Pros:

The location is perfect, beautiful scenery and peaceful. I had an evening meal which was delicious. The staff work hard and were helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was complimentary water, tea, coffee and biscuits! The towels and bedding were clean and fresh.

Cons:

The room and bathroom were not very clean. The bathroom in particular smelt strongly of stale urine.

There is no fridge in the room.

There was an alarm or electrical beeping sound going off throughout the night.

Breakfast is not served until 7.30 so no good if you need to head out early.

Une étape agréable
Pros:

Lol

Really pleasant value for money in a great loca, nice friendly staff, but a tired worn out building
Pros:

Breakfast was great, it was quick, ample, staff very pleasant and pleasant view over the river.

Cons:

It was hot as the weather was very hot. It was hard to get comfortable in the room at night. Nonfridge to keep drinks cool. A fan was provided but the dust was so thick on the inaccessible blades that we could not use it.

Hidden gem
Pros:

The welcome was very good, we were early and straight away, we were shown to our room.

Cons:

Firstly we'd like to say, the staff at the Weir were amazing, they couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable.

It was a heatwave when we arrived. the window in our room was stuck, we couldn't open it, the staff quickly managed to open the window for us. and offered us an extra fan too.

Sadly, the bathroom needs replacing, the shower didn't have enough pressure, the toilet pan was very low, also the hand basin didn't fit pedestal
Shower fixing was falling off the wall, also the window in bathroom would not open.
Hopefully, the Weir are able to address the issue in
Room 3

Despite what we have said " our stay was great.
Breakfast was delicious too
The staff were amazing.
Spotless bedding and towels too.
Great tea-making facilities biscuits and bottles of water too.
Nice touch.

We are definitely going to go back.
