Sunrise Palace

The room was very clean, and the staff were excellent. The owner was especially helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We had a great experience and would gladly stay here again.

Hosts are ok but they do not offer toiletry in bathrooms
And the breakfast is the same every day. They tried to make us pay extra like online fees when we paid cash

Quiet area quite far from the heart of Negombo, didn’t feel the safest here as a solo traveller. Staff were happy to help me with a transfer from the airport quite late at night which was nice. Breakfast included is quite basic.

The owner is a very humble person, even though we informed him at the last minute, they prepared our baby's food as per our request.

We traveled over 3 weeks staying at 9 different accomodations. I waited till the end of our trip to do reviews since I think it is important to put them in the context of the country and not western expectations. This was our first accomodation. We arrived closer to 1am and were greeted promptly and with smiles. I appreciated that it was no drama to check in at this time. They provided the wifi information and made effort to have it working but in the end it did not work and it was not worth figuring out because we checked out first thing in the morning. The shower was fine and had hot water.
The property is with a wall and gate and surrounded by other homes but it has it's own charm.
The breakfast was lovely and we were happy with it but we would learn later that some places do outstanding breakfasts.
The people are lovely and payment was no issue.
