Arrived at 4am with my husband, 2 young children and my 65 year old Mum. Transfer bus drove away and we found the hotel had been closed for months!
Tour operator say they didn't know! Had to find another hotel for the night and pay even though we had paid All inclusive until we were relocated the next afternoon!
Lovely hotel , nice and clean hotel with lovely staff they been so helpful.A lot of activities during a day and night. My family really did enjoyed. My son had a great time in there . Turkish night is a one of the best night in the hotel. best and lovely hotel for a holiday a lot of fun with a friendly staff. Thanks for lovely holiday. Hopefully going back next year 🏖🏖🏖
I have never written a review in the past but having been looking to book our family holiday this year I glanced at Fun Point to see what other travellers were saying about it. We travelled last year as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 11 and 7. All I can say is think twice before you book this hotel. I was hooked in by the price (cheap) and the 'good' reviews.
Where to start...........the positives:
**Great weather
** Friendly staff
** Good bargains in reception (fake Ray Bans in reception at a couple of quid, Luis Vuitton towels for a fiver etc)
** Air con
Negatives:
** Over friendly staff-you simply cannot sit down and have a quiet drink without being permanently harassed, it's absolutely awful day in day out making odd comments which they find hilarious and we found totally insulting
** Food is absolutely horrendous. Breakfast is a few rolls with a panini maker making a once weekly appearance. Lunch is last night's left overs fried or re-formed or chopped up in another dish and the evening meals were almost inedible. They do some kind of meat (possibly beef) in either meat balls, re-formed patties, slices and some really cheap cuts of chicken which has been cooked for so long it is vile. Always rice and cous cous so we lived on that and went out several evenings. It is noteworthy that the electric bain maries were dangerous giving off electric shocks to unsuspecting diners who touched them throughout our 2 week stay
**Rooms basic and air con ONLY WORKS IN ONE OF THE ROOMS! No storage space for a family of 5 just one tiny wardrobe which was falling to bits
**Pool-absolutely filthy, we did not see it cleaned even once and I got an infection from the water. It was absolutely disgusting
**Prayer is observed regularly throughout the day with large tannoys blasting out across the building and if that's not going on then there is Euro trash dance/techno music absolutely blasting from the bar, absolutely hideous day in day out. The Turkish bar lads were playing it for themselves with no regard for the guests
** All inclusive? What a joke! Already mentioned the breakfast lunch and dinner but we expected snacks to be available in the day. We got really odd filo pastry some days with a layer of tasteless cheese spread through it and bizarre crumbling tasteless biscuits, absolutely foul. All ice creams have to be paid for at the shop at reception
** Kids working on the bar. It seemed if any one of the regular staff were off a child was put behind the bar to serve alcohol, very bizarre but they work their staff 7 days a week with no breaks so i am not surprised they got let down
** Damaged and broken sunbeds-all old and cheap and falling to bits
** Dirty sheesha pipes being sparked up and shared on an evening-the hygene standards were an absolute disgrace
** Mucky old disused bar at the back of the swimming pool full of broken toys and inflatables and any other rubbish that was chucked there
** Entertainment was poor at best being on one or two nights per week. I've seen bad entertainment but this took the biscuit. One evening of Karaoke and one 'Turkish' night. It was laughable. Our kids hated it.
Overall the mix of guests was fairly diverse, some English, many Russians and many Turkish use this hotel, all of them very pleasant and easy to get on with.
I would not recommend this hotel for families and can only assume the good reviews are fake or by people with really really low standards. I mean we like a bargain and I think we paid about £1200 for the hotel for the fortnight which was really cheap and particularly when we saw the decent reviews but I urge you to think again if you plan to visit this hotel. It's the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life and we all couldn't wait to leave.
Me and my partner have just had a week at fun point. Lovely hotel, and really friendly staff. Basic rooms but only sleep and shower there. Food was nice but we like to go explore so ate out quite abit. Bbq came out one night which was delicious. Lovely salad selection. Murat the owner is such a great guy. Also owns facebook bar and restaurant about 10-15min walk from hotel, excellent food and strawberry daquires. Great entertainment in hotel and at Facebook. Murat and the staff work very hard and go out of their way to please their guests. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Natalie & Paul
Our second time stay there.Lovely hotel ideal for families a lots of activities for children.Rooms very clean and staff was very helpful.Foods was very good. A lots activities during the day and night specially Turkish nite.nice and clean hotel for family holiday. Thanks for lovely holiday
Just arrived home from our holiday at the fun point hotel . I traveled with my husband and have had a really good break on arrival we was met by the manager who promptly booked us in and even got us a couple of beers while we was being attended to our luggage was taken to our room which was on the seventh floor but had a good lift to it the room was large and clean nothing was to much trouble for anybody and the manager was on hand the whole holiday checking that everything was OK and if anything was needed food was OK usual all inclusive food plenty of salads rice and pasta and fresh fruit something for everyone I never heard anybody complaining we ate out a couple of times just to break the holiday up not because of the food they even had BBQ I had read the reviews before going to this hotel but would definitely go back everybody was so friendly and always made sure you was enjoying yourselves the little lady in the shop couldn't speak much English but would always have a big smile on her face and the prices in the shop was no different to the shops outside overall this has been a enjoyable holiday thanks to the manager and all his staff .
I came with an open mind to Turkey have never been here but a world traveler. The welcome for me & the couples, family was overwhelming, went over the top to make my stay a excellent one. Food good, (not that you need it) close to town even got own clown (sorry Ali). During day relax by the pool staff always there to help
Ramazan and the staff are very accommodating- nothing is too much trouble- I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel- I will definitely be going back later this year- food and drink of a good standard
Had 10 nights here all inclusive ,on arrival had good welcome and was upgraded to better room free, hotel is clean but a bit outdated , food wasn't great same stuff nearly every night and leftovers used for next night, free drinks in all inclusive deal were not nice and only weak beer, horrible vodka, disgusting gin and cheap raki that taste like antifreeze,so limited choice, after 12 at night all drinks had to be paid for weather all inclusive or not
Long way from town centre and beech , a good 20 minute walk
Overall not a bad stay but probably could have found better for the price elsewhere in alanya
no fun no point in going here if u want fun and good service.. me and my mate went for a relaxing week ..... the staff were so rude and unhelpful. food was ok but seriously the place was anything but fun. its literally on a duel carriageway and so noisy. im diabetic and had to fight to get a diet coke off the bar staff who cursed me for even asking! the transfers from the airport took over 3 hours avoid at all costs!!!!!!
Really enjoyed this holiday beautiful resort and lovely, clean friendly hotel . The staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble . Ali kept poolside very clean and the beer flowing and Ramazan pretty much made sure your stay there was a happy one . My friend and I loved it . We would go back ,wouldn't change a thing .😊
This was a fabulous hotel for its price.Nice clean rooms.the food was good too.Nice friendly staff, always willing to help you.good entertainment at the hotel too.sometimes my children weren't keen what was on the menu but the chef would make them something they wanted to eat
My first time in Turkey and my partner's first beach holiday. Really enjoyed the stay. It was the beginning of the season and facilities, including the pool were put into action whilst we were there. Good access to the town area and shuttle to the beach. No hesitation in recommending the hotel. Not fancy, but neither are we, and I think we were more comfortable here than in some of the more expensive hotels reviewed. We were there for 2 weeks and over that time met some great people; single and families, from Turkey and Europe (including the uk.
Me and my best mate went here for a week in September last year. I'm 19 & was first time I'd been abroad since I was 12 (and first holiday abroad with a mate!). Loved it! Best week of my life! The staff were friendly. There's a market and beach nearby, a camel man, everything! Cheap. Decent hotel. You get what ya pay for! 😊
Attended as part of four aged late 20's to early 30's. My friend booked the trip . I am a frequent visitor to Turkey so I kind of knew what type of accommodation I was looking for. This was not it. I have a stressful job in the UK and wanted a relaxing spa break with the opportunity to hit some bars. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the beach....however there is an excellent shuttle service. Food was crap at hotel but not to bad at the beach....we ate out every day, for all meals. We were all inclusive however the drinks available were limited to say the least. Ended up paying through the roof for a round of vodka redbulls and cocktails. All inclusive did not cover the beach bar!!! The rooms are not the most secure, my toilet leaked which was gross and the room next door smelt odd. The block in which the hotel is situated lost electricity quite frequently....so we had no power and no hot water....which was annoying especially when coming back from the beach, covered in sand. The beds were not comfortable. On the plus side the hotel not far from the harbour (cab ride, you cannot walk) night life is pretty cool and there are some decent places to eat, when on the harbour. Hotel is a bit of a distance from the airport if doing transfers. As stated earlier you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I did not find the fun at this point.
Are you stressed at work, feeling alone or simply want to spend great time with really friendly people and staff, then Fun point hotel is exactly for you.
Very cheap hotel in regards of what you get. Every day you will choice between different plates. Your breakfast will be big enough that you could just eat it and nothing else.
Rooms simples but nice with balcony and good situation.
10 minutes walking from the main center of Alanya, you will have many Free navette, each hours ready to bring you to the beach, city center or clubs.
Animation and staff very Clean!
Big up for this Hotel!
Fab place met some nice people the hotel was very friendly and clean although the room was very basic it was ok . The pool area was lovely and everyone was friendly. The staff were excellent. The food could be improved but was edible. Lovely area plenty to do pick up and taken to lovely private beach. Water park was a short taxi away and vert cheap had a lovely day there. Markets cheap as chips. Would go back to This hotel
The only problem we had with our stay is the person who wrote the previous review and her friends. We hadn't even checked in and she was over moaning to us and it never stopped.
Anyway. Rooms were clean, staff friendly enough this was the final 2 weeks of the season so yes at times they were grumpy to those they didn't like, food edible but repetitive (dozens of cheap restaurants within walking distance).
The hotel was cheap (approx £10 a night free all inclusive) it's not the Ritz but it is great value.
Well we're do I start we have arrived at what we got told was a 4 star hotel no way was it that greeted by someone who didn't understand a word of English then left us to find our own room bare in mind it was 4 in the morning pitch black the light at the end of the corrider were our room was didn't work so one of us had to keep walking up and down before we got in (had to do this the whole holidaay) then had a shower in the morning my hair dryer didn't work therefore had to leave my hair wet got told it will be fixed by evening and it wasn't so had to change room just to dry my hair. Constent driping everynight from the shower As for breakfast it was a joke you had rolls salad for breakfast boiled eggs witch were black in the middle ham cheece and as iam pregnant I couldn't even eat any of this food incase it carried bacteria got told there was a big verity of food and it was hot a fresh it was not! it was the same thing everyday what was left was reused the next day it was by far the worse hotel I have ever stayed in the pool was cleaned once no wonder there was so many flys and ants on the floor it was black. we asked to go to a McDonald's the manager said he will take us for free in a taxi we didn't see a McDonald's in sight just loads of shops it was the shop he owned took us in there and never felt so intimadated like we had to buy something we ended up having to run out because we got that scared the clothes had threads hanging out there just rip em up!! they was chucking clothes around talking in there language witch I found very rude when we finally got out the shop the taxi was gone so had to find our own way back to the hotel witch took 45 mins when we got back the manager didn't even talk to us ignored us the whole holiday even told us to shutup one evening because we was laughing even though it's okay for them to have there music playing till what ever time they want. The bar staff was rude allways creeping arpund making you jump also allways asking for a tip we ended up giving in just to have some piece and quiet from them one day and he didn't say thankyou told them we was leaving then ask for yet another tip said we didn't give him eough witch he then gave us the money back it was that rude one mintue there all smiling next they are miserable one of them is that childish they kicked a wall because he got in trouble even punched a wall in front of kids this was. I was scared dread to think how everyone else felt We got told it was all inclusive yet you had to pay after 11 they were isturnate and yet again only a couple of choices bar didn't open till 10 some days later trying to get a drink before you got no chance had another thing coming you couldn't even keep a couple on your table they would just refuse to serve you making us go up separately everytime I am in fact pregnant I shouldn't be having to keep getting up aand arguing if I wanted a drink my partner should of been able to get me one all this stress is not good for me I am now home having to go to hospital and doctors I am that worried because of the experience and not knowing at first reusing the food I even had one man spit on me if he has hepb that would kill my baby you want to hope everything is okay. From decoration to standerds of food just everything needs a full refurbishment and staff run down hotel ant the word
well this hotel is ok for a budget holiday and for the price how ever day to day you had bar staff how went from happy to misarable to to the stage you was going to bar they would glare at you and other times they would laugh and joke and be laughing with you the lady in shop amazing always friendly and welcoming the cleaners there had diffrent standards some rooms where cleaned well an fresh towels other guests had ask for clean towels when got there i was shown aire con but not shown how to work it or given a remote for aire con if you want live enterment best time to go from what iv heard is june til sept i went on monday 5th til 12th oct 215 there was not even a night when we had any entiment other than music in back ground pool is clean food not bad for price but still has room for improments if its a hotel where you want mainly drinks i would still say go all included i was in room 4404 there was no lounge but did have shower and balconey air con was in room on first inspection it looked clean but things like finding a empty crisp packet under bed next day and was still there when i looked before leaving but still had good time with people i meet while over there little note for drinks you can only have one in front at time some snacks meals was missing ie morning or afternoon if you want some enterment go before oct
