Close to beach, large clean room, decent price, efficient booking and checking in and out

We loved our stay!

Run down, needs a big time renovation. parking lot access doors didn't work. Front desk staff didn't seen like they genuinely cared. A lady at night did though. Could see that cleaning staff were trying to keep up with their tasks but appeared overwhelmed. Out of 7 Marriott properties we stayed in on vacation, this fell far below Marriott standards and below expectations. Would not prefer to stay here again. shower dispensers ripped off the wall. Rooms in desperate need of maintenance. Ice machine not working. Ownership and management, take notice. Lots of bad reviews. Location was great.

Clean, comfortable and across the street from the ocean. Restaurants in walking distance. Polite helpful staff. Quite stay. Short drive to historic downtown.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. When I went to step in the shower/tub, I saw a gross mess on the side of the tub. We called the front desk & were told someone would come right away. 30 minutes later, a lady showed up with 2 rags in her hand, but no cleaner (maybe it was already on the rags??). After maybe 2 minutes, she came out & said she’d be right back, but she never returned. We finally called the front desk & asked when she was coming back, which is when we were informed that it was normal wear & tear, so there was nothing to be done. We replied that it would’ve been nice for someone to tell us this instead of us wondering when she would be back because wasted our precious vacation time waiting. Another housekeeper showed up, looked at it, and said that it was indeed just wear and tear. After I looked at it closer, I could see that it was rust that has run down & streaked the side, & the enamel is chipping off. Who would want to bathe their child in a tub like that?? Evidently, Marriott thinks their customers don’t mind paying almost $200 per night for a tub that looks gross. They also need to pay more attention when cleaning since there was a wiffle ball under the foot of the bed.
The other annoyance was only having one person at the front desk. When we checked in, it took way longer than it should’ve because only one person was working & she kept answering the phone. There was a steady stream of guests who needed pool towels & other things which could’ve easily been taken care if by having another front desk clerk. This place needs a new manager!

Loved the friendly staff and how clean the room was when we entered. I loved the setup of the shower. The location was great.

Staff was very friendly. I valued having Starbucks coffee close by in the lobby. Not sure of the bar hours but they seemed short. We thought fireworks would be at the pier which is why we chose the property. Of course we learned at check in that they were happening more in town. We navigated over there and traffic was abysmal. Police did not keep traffic flows going crisply ( my wife is former cop). We are not public pool people but it seemed like tourists and kiddies enjoyed it. Have to add that the shower design was very practical!
