Nice clean small hotel
Pros:

Only stayed one night but was a good experience. Arrived quite late but lady was around to show me to the room, which was very clean, had small safe and aircon worked well. Bed was clean and quite comfortable for thai standards. Next door to a Tesco lotus which is convenient. 10 minute walk to where all the main bars and restaurants are.

Pros:

Das Emfpangspersonal sprach kaum englisch . Zimmer welches mir zugewiesen wurde musste ich nach der Besichtigung erst mal reinigen lassen! Im Kühlschrank befanden sich vom Vorgänger noch wochenalte Speisereste und Getränke. Zimmer wurde erst nach 3Tagen auf Nachfrage gereinigt und das nur oberflächlich. Solch ein Reinigunspersonal ist diesem Hotel nicht würdig.

New apartment hotel with charming staff
Pros:

It is located by the main road but far from the beach. The bathroom is located outside of the actual room, which makes good sense regarding airconditioning. However, it is awkward to have to get dressed to visit the bathroom at night. The cleaning woman seemed to have no experience in how to clean a toilet properly.

Nice, clean hotel near central Lamai
Pros:

Everything is new and clean. While the staff don't speak English, they are nice and helpful (we did have to play charades a couple of times). The hotel is also in central Lamai; you can walk everywhere from there.
