Room is good size, bed is comfortable. Shower is hot and powerful.

One criticism:
(note: breakfast serving time is 7-10am) I’ve been to Stay Inn previously, i show up at their breakfast room at 9am, not much food left. Hence I got there at 7am-ish this time, as I’m not the sort of person of person who like to pile on the plate in one go, I made a couple trips to the buffet to pick small amount each time so as to ensure I won’t waste any food by taking too much which I can’t consume. The shocking remark I got from the staff is ‘there is other guests too, don’t take anymore’ This put a very sour ending to what would have been a very nice stay.

Wir waren übergangsweise im stay Inn, weil wir am nächsten Morgen nach Arusha fahren wollten. Daniel, einer der Mitarbeiter, holte uns von der Fähre ab, ging mit uns zum Bus Sales Office und einkaufen. Er bestellte uns ein Taxi für früh morgens. Das Personal war unglaublich zuvorkommend, toller Service. Das Restaurant hingegen war nicht so der Renner. Für eine Nacht ist das stay inn aber eine gute, relativ preiswerte Option.

Honestly, not bad for the price and expectation. Hotel staff is very friendly and rooms are equipped with anything you might need. It shows its age a bit - power outages, wi-fi spotty at best, beds are reasonably firm, but nothing make or break.
Great location if you want to be in the middle of Dar es Salaam. Right next to Karakoo Market and within 10-15 minute walking distance from a mall and great restaurants.

Overall the stay was good. I agree with other customer that the hotel was overbooked and some families were left without a room.
Hotel staff (Eric) was very considerate and helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday and any issues if found were resolved within a day. Bathrooms were dated and faucets were in bad shape due to hard/salty water.
Breakfast was OK. For one day, we requested breakfast to start at 3:30am and they considered our request and we had early breakfast that day.
I found hotel staff to be honest and the rooms were secured. I never heard of any theft during my stay (14 days).

The lift starts from 1st floor and the laundry is pretty expensive for a 2* property

Hotel was fully booked and I was put up in another, worse Hotel.

I had a paid booking through hotels.com for 5 nights. I had a payment receipt from the website, and confirmation slip as well. I had also tried calling the hotel 3 days before my arrival but after talking for about 2 mins and collecting information, they had said they can't hear me properly and that I can come over. As soon as I arrived at the property, I was told by other residents there that the hotel helpdesk has had several issues with other customers with paid bookings.

I went to the helpdesk and gave them my booking confirmation, they kept on checking it for a bit and first said they don't have my booking, then said my booking is correct but the system is having a glitch due to which they're overbooked and all rooms are full, then after a while they said they're trying to call the person responsible for this but were unable to connect through, then offered me to fill in the form for check-in. When I asked to see the room, they didn't reply properly, but afterwards said they'll try to get me fit into some other hotel. I refused that once I realized that other place is the hotel opposite to this one and was already shabby looking. He agreed the rooms there were not as good. I asked for refund but he refused saying it's hotels.com/expedia's fault. I was left with no option but to leave after wasting 50 mins without refund, and without the room that I had booked and paid for.

Please watch out before you book this place. I never stayed here, so can't comment on that.

Nuce, comfy rooms with air con and everything you could want. Only issue was showers...but welcome to Dar. I have yet to find a place anywhere that has dully functional showers AND hot water! The staff were friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi to thw bus station for me and even fave ne a wake up call at 5am upon request. Cool little place. Better than the backpackers around and even some of the mid range hotels.
