the stairs were the problem

THe rooms and the view are great

The stairs.The elevator only goes half way and we are in our nearly 80 and the stairs was a real problem

Cons:

Did not like fact that had to check in at an adjacent guest house, where finding parking is an issue, and the fact that the apartment was not ready at 2pm as expressly stated in their email, but only at 3.

Pros:

Spacious apartment, right next to all amenities.

Cons:

Very noisy, next to bins, car park and passageway, on top of the noise from trains that start at 5am

I would not return to Middedorp2. The location of Kalk Bay with the tidal pool was good.

It would have been great if the electrical appliances worked properly. The over was impossible. There was no way of showering in the bigger bathroom. No hot water was available from the basin in that. Bathroom. None of the Venetian blinds worked properly.. the mirror in the smaller bathroom was so antiquated and poor. All these problems were very disappointing and not conducive to a comfortable stay, which was 9 days, not 6.

Pros:

Amazing location - we felt safe and super close to amazing cafes and restaurants. We stayed in townhouse 11 and it was beautifully (and imaginatively) decorated with so many comfy and relaxing places to sit and enjoy your holiday!
