Not the Marriott standard at all. More like a greasy motel
Pros:

It was right across the road from the beach

Cons:

It was extremely dirty. As a matter of fact I had to request for the 1st room I was assigned to be changed because the sofa seat in the room had ugly stains and watermarks all over it. Not that the next room was better- I avoided sitting or placing anything on it for the entire period.

The beach in front is full of rats

Pros:

The staff was exceptional. We were able to check in at 1pm instead of the usual check in time. The elevator was temporarily out of order, so a maintenance staff member carried our bags to the sixth floor for us.

The beds were very comfy and the room was relatively quiet.

Cons:

The location was central for what we wanted to see, so we had planned to walk most places, but this area is not pedestrian friendly. Taxis are readily available though.

The Air Conditioning system was not working in the initial room that we were in, so we had to be moved., but we enjoyed our time there regardless. 😁
