Pros:

Convenience. Safe.

Cons:

Not clean. Restaurant pricey. Need a fresh look. Room bed and bedding looks old. Even the carpet is old and dusty looking.

High end stay but could be improved.
Pros:

Reception staff very welcoming. Rooms good size. Rooftop bar and views. Restaurant very good. Good location close to fort, bus station, market, banks, shopping centre.

Cons:

En-suite small. Minor maintenance issues in rooms. Some restaurant staff seemed a little uninterested. (But food good)

A very nice stay amongst lovely people and homely meals.
Pros:

food was generally excellent and we enjoyed our meals. The Kool in the night buffet menu was again excellent. The jaffna buffet menu was quite outstanding. Every dish except the rasam worked well.

The staff were excellent throughout our stay, patient and accommodating. we felt very supported and comfortable and were grateful for their kindness and professionalism

Cons:

only issues was with undercooked rice, and the soups. The rice was a bit too gritty. and unpleasant to eat. I think they were trying to make it suitable for the fried rice, but it was still a little under.

The rasam was very hard to drink. A drop and it was just peppery. not at all rasam like and impossible to drink. Similar the mutton soup was full of sediments which weren't ground enough or strained at least.

The Kool in the night menu was again excellent so its not a lack of ability but maybe about concept and unfamiliarity.

coffee varieties would be a great boost.

Very bad and poor. Not recommended at all.

Very bad service. Don’t care about customers . Manager sits next to reception over rude

Cons:

Smelly beds, bed cover got ripped. No tissues in bathroom. Pillow condition is very bad. Reported to receptionist and nothing happened. Only the answer which we had is they are very busy . Charged for 3 adult single bed room but in normal double bed room they put a third bed and charged £600+ for 4 nights
