Lovely location for a wedding.
Bed too soft
Nice friendly staff, breakfast hot and delicious, beautiful grounds and plenty of free car parking. The bed was also huge and very comfortable.
I thought the pillows were abit hard but my husband didn’t so….
Staff were atrocious, the place in general, in my opinion (and I stay in quite few hotels) should be shut down!
Untrained staff, the whole experience was awful
Very cosey and quiet.
Massive room, massive and very comfortable bed, great shower, big bath with lots of hot water, nice soft clean towels, good in room tea/coffee etc., decent TV, great breakfast (hot, good selection, and decent quality. Pastries were lush!). Set in really lovely grounds, nice bar with good beer selection. I ate in the bar and had Cumberland sausage and mash with onion gravy - Very Good, and reasonably priced.
Nothing particularly.
Location, character & lovely grounds. Good food & drink, helpful efficient staff & a comfortable bed.
Everything
Spa bath not working, and only found out later in the evening when settled in, and running bath and too late to ask to change rooms.
Friendly polite staff
Fridge in room intermittently on/off through night leading to broken sleep. No means of turning it off. Sadly I wouldn’t stay again for that very reason.
Beautiful grounds
Very dated decor, poor quality room facilities and no soundproofing between rooms.
The room was spacious and comfortable as was the bed . The Staff were great - there was a mix up with the booking and they hotel gave me a complimentary drink and upgraded me for a breakfast.
Great location and the design and decoration of the hotel was excellent . It was a really relaxing stay.
The price for the Room Only was a little steep.
Great location, beautiful grounds, exceptional value.
Large clean room.
Evening meal was good as was breakfast.
Easy plentiful safe parking. Good location for Dunham Massey Hall where we were visiting.
Lovely gardens with fountains and a lake.
Staff pleasant but not particularly friendly
Only two lamps worked in bedroom when I queried I was told that you had to put them on in a particular order. This was not shown anywhere in the room and lamps still didn’t work. Furniture in room was dated. TV information did not work. Once TV turned off a blue light shone in the room all night. Had to walk through a number of corridors to get to room. This was not shown on booking details and would have been difficult for anybody with mobility issues.
Fire alarm went off but when we looked for the instructions on where to meet the frame which should have details had a blank piece of paper in it. This is against all health and safety regulations. View from room was a roof and was disappointing as the outside areas were so beautiful.
Although our dinner was nice there was absolutely no green vegetables. When we asked for some we were begrudgingly given four tenderstem broccoli at a cost of £4.95.
Bar area was cold with portable heaters which were insufficient. It wasn’t a particularly cold night.
For us this hotel was nowhere near 4 star, we stayed in a three star the night before which was far superior in every way and considerably cheaper.
