Very disappointing

My room hadn’t been changed over when I arrived. Bed was a mess. Curtains were all closed. I asked for a new room and reception sighed and said this has been happening a lot lately.
I got an “upgrade” to a smaller room. The water took ages to become hot in the shower. I left it on for 15 minutes on the first night and it wa still cold so I gave up. Cafe staff wouldn’t bring the coffee to us. Just shouted out “hello” from the desk and then proceeded to stand there and do nothing as they had nothing to do.

I stay here quite a lot love the place however it’s just had a new paint job and it’s starting to look a bit rough inside as of chips and cracks where people are dragging the luggage across the hallway. Need to be touched up to keep looking and clean, the breakfast was a little bit shabby. I feel like they for money is not worth it.

Car parking is always a nightmare there and they charge quite heavily for car park

Misleading information on the website, around car parking. Upon arrival at just before check-in at 2 p.m., I found the car park already full and a car already in the allotted waiting space to check-in and no other options available for parking in order to check in. Peppers maybe a great hotel and yes, you got my money for your petite room, but I went and stayed somewhere else. I had driven 4 hours, and I realise you probably don't care too much but please don't be bold enough to ask for a review when service and infrastructure was so lacking that I was not able to check in in a timely manner.

Enjoyable but not great value
Pros:

Location of was good.
Nice bathrooms.

Cons:

We weren’t actually in the hotel, it was difficult to get our head around the lifts and didn’t really feel like guests. The staff were nice. No detergent or sponges available in the rooms. The couch was inadequate for the amount of guests.

The room was great and spacious. We travelled with little kids so having privacy lock on bathroom door was great. Haven’t stayed in a spaces tool like peppers offered

Cons:

Everything was good. Reception staff could do slightly better. They said parking door would automatically open when we are at the door after check out which I had confirmed, but I had to call them
