You get the access from the hotel and apartments. Also get to access the swimming pool till 10pm which van be very nice relax swim after a heavy day.
The property is held up nice but still some point its an old building and the bed/sleeping pillow could be a lot better.
De appartementen waren groot en comfortabel, fijn voor langer verblijf. Het zwembad zowel bij de appartementen als bij het hotel zijn mooi!
Het ligt iets verder lopen van de metro dan we dachten, de shuttle is fijn maar die duurt langer dan lopen omdat deze nog langs het hotel rijdt.
We had a 3 bedroom apartment with 3 bathrooms and it was spacious, comfortable, quiet, well lit and well air conditioned. Cotton robes and slide on slippers were provided. Plenty of white, soft bath towels were provided. It was serviced 3 days during the week. A welcoming breakfast package of coffee pods, milk, apple juice, orange juice, cornflakes, butter, noodles and 6 eggs was appreciated. Tea bags, instant coffee sachets, sugar sachets, salt and pepper sachets were also provided. Plumbed, filtered water in the kitchen. Nespresso coffee machine, rice cooker, toaster, kettle and stainless steel pots. There were good quality side loading washing machines and dryers on each floor with clear operating instructions especially useful for large families or for longer stays, but remember to bring or purchase appropriate laundry detergent. The pool was a reasonable size and it was refreshing to have a dip after a long day spent exploring. There was a life guard on duty when we used the pool and staff that helped with towels and provided water.
All staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.
The location was good and away from busy traffic noise but reasonably close (6 minute walk) to bus stops and 12 minute walk to train station. Easy drop and pick up drive way for taxis, Grab deliveries etc. There was a supermarket within 6 minute walk and restaurants and cafes close by as well as the restaurants at the Shangri La hotel next door.
Singapore is an expensive place to visit and the cost of the apartment was high and so the expectation was that the kitchen would have been better equipped. So the kitchen could have benefited from extra, solid utensils eg. Larger bowls, stainless steel pasta drainers, stainless steel cooking utensils. The range hood was extraordinarily loud when cooking. The apartment’s carpet could benefit from a thorough steam clean or vacuum especially around the edges and under beds. We had a large cockroach in the kitchen during our stay (not surprising in a tropical climate) but the staff were very quick to respond to remove it. There were no other cockroaches found.

Being the apartment of Shangri La, certain policies were a little annoying.
Eg: The apartment wasn’t cleaned everyday, hence for the last 2 days the rubbish wasn’t removed from kitchen making the kitchen area stink.
We found a cockroach in the lounge on day 2. The staff removed it immediately, but wife did find this experience a bit scary. She is petrified of cockroaches.
But I guess that due to this being the apartment, maybe this was considered as budget and these facilities may not have been available to the budget version.

Vaikka huoneisto muuten toimiva, se tarvitsee joskus pientä kosmeettista sisäremppaa. (esim. lattia on aika kulunut.) Jos elämä saa vähän näkyä, niin oiva kohde.
