Stayed for one night for a party, the staff couldn’t be more welcoming, we had a lovely stay.
Lovely place to stay for the weekend, staff were so accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was brilliant, room was clean and warm. We would definitely return in the future
The window should have a blackout blind because a motion sensor security light comes on often throughout the night and it's bright enough to disturb your sleep.
The sheets and duvet were of good quality and the bed was comfortable.
I didn't have an evening meal or breakfast but what I saw of the meals looked appetising.
The Inn is set in the hillside so it's a fairly
steep hill down to the carpark. There looks to be an attractive woodland walk at the side of the carpark and a nice area to sit and have a picnic.
Excellent stay
Really impressive welcome, food and accommodation. Great base to visit the dales from.
The rooms are directly below the bar as restaurants area, the chairs being moved can be heard up until 10pm and it is not relaxing unfortunately. We wanted a cosy night in the room before a big hike the next day…
The rooms below the bar don’t get much fresh air, which leaves quite a stale smell.
On a positive note…
Bedding was very crisp and clean.
The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough. We enjoyed scampi and home cooked chips for dinner!!!
10 minutes drive from the Kinder Scout walking route which was amazing.
Very welcoming and friendly. Food was exceptional. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Nice views from the deck. Staff were brilliant. Definitely come back
This bed and breakfast is in an ideal location, the facilities are great, the food in the restaurant is lovely and not too expensive and the rooms are clean, spacious and warm. They are spotlessly clean and you have everything you need here.
Wonderfully friendly family run business. Passion for service. Young staff a credit and well trained. Location ideal to explore high peak by foot or short car journey. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay, great food and friendly staff
Beautiful Inn. Rooms were lovely and very spacious.
Staff were friendly and young girl that checked us in was so lovely, never stopped smiling. Location was perfect for us as we did the Kinder Scout walk from here. Check in wasnt until 4pm but we were able to park there from 10am for no extra charge. Meal in the evening was great and the fact you were able to take in dogs to the snug area afterwards was lovely. Highly reccommend
The welcome was warm, despite good covid measures, everyone was very helpful and very happy to help. The food was fabulous at every meal, and the beer selection and quality was great. Parking was plentiful, easy and seemed secure. The location of the hotel is quiet and excellent for walking, cycling, motorcycling or just visiting the peak district. Our only complaint was the room was cold when we arrived, and as it was cold outside (October), it took the radiator several hours to warm the room up to a comfortable level. The mattress was also a bit creaky and noisy, possibly due to the room being kept cold between guests. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would heartily recommend the hotel and everyone there that made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you.
We loved our stay in the Sycamore we didn’t want to leave! It was very relaxed, very comfortable and friendly staff!
Nice hotel with friendly owners. Great outside facility if you have a dog.
Outside all round needs a good clean up.
Friendly welcom, good food, excellent service
Lovely room, comfortable bed. Delicious food. Very enjoyable stay. I will return 😊
We stayed for a friends wedding and had booked all the bedrooms. It was like they were part of our family and really took care of us and made us feel at home. Breakfast was brilliant, and the staff were very adaptable and helpful when we wanted to have a space for our friends mini hen do. Would definitely stay again!
It was for my parents and they loved it there 1st visit to the Peak District. The staff food and service and rooms where excellent we all had dinner in the pub on the Saturday night and it was amazing we will be eating there a lot ourselves. Stunning
Good food, friendly staff and a clean room. This place is priced appropriately for the package you get. You could pay a lot more for something not much better. The breakfast was particularly tasty and well presented. It was close to Manchester and ideal for the Peak District. I was surprised it wasn’t busier.
