The Manager met me on my arrival and carried my bags to the room. He took time to explain everything about the Hotel, keys, entry, and fire alarms. The room was spacious with en-suite bathroom, TV, kettle, tea & coffee supplies and a small fridge freezer. There is also a popular Indian restaurant in the building. I had not had an Indian meal for some time so decided to give it a try. The Restaurant Manager was helpful with the extensive menu and I really enjoyed my meal. The location between Dundee and Broughty Ferry suited me as I wanted to visit both. There are regular buses on the main road.
The address is for Broughty Ferry Road but the entrance is at the rear in Murray Street. More my fault for not checking it out. The location overlooks a busy main road, so can be a bit noisy. But the noise goes down a lot in the evening and as I was out most of the day did not affect me too much. So nothing negative really.
Room was adequate. Bar fridge is a nice touch. Off street parking, tea / coffee / milk making facilities great.
Stairs and entry door are a struggle with luggage. Cooking smells from restaurant are strong throughout the accommodation at times. Would have liked a mattress protector on mattress under bed sheet - didn’t feel as clean as it could have. The shower temperature kept changing.
The property was lovely. I was expecting a small, cramped room and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was.
There wasn’t anything really that I didn’t like the property. It was my first time in Dundee and I would have liked to have been a wee bit closer to the centre of the city but that has nothing to do with the hotel, as it was me who booked it.
Bedding and towels in bedroom were clean
Property was generally run down inside and out it’s in desperate need of an upgrade both in the rooms and the restaurant attached to property
Place was filthy
Room was not cleaned there was stuff left in drawers from someone else dirty socks bin still full. Hairy mould and dirt every where. Was disgusting
Excellent staff room was perfect and the food is amazing
It was above an Indian restaurant the food was top notch
They no longer serve breakfast
Did not supply
Nothing
Rhe location is central and not too far a walk from Dundee centre. There's a decent sized car park. The room was an adequate size and the bed comfortable although the decor is a bit tired. The electric shower wasn't brilliant but it did the job considering we were only there for 1 night.
The decor and the shower.
