Good value for money and definately stay there again as close to all amenities and public transport

Location was the only standout

Cons:

Hotel was old and run down. Had a smell to it. Bathroom had missing panels. Hotel was being painted during the stay. 7am had workers taking loudly. What I got compared to pictures was way off otherwise wouldnt have booked it.

Dirty
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

It was very dirty, the bathroom smelled heavily of mould so much so that we kept the bathroom door shut at all times. The carpet was filthy. There were stains on the bed. Overall was so gross. I only wore shoes in the room because of how dirty the carpet was

No hairdryer, vacuuming was done at 5:00am, walls were paper thin so we could hear the man’s conversation on the phone in the room next door.

Cons:

I booked to stay on a Thursday and Friday night.
Was given room 14 which was directly above bar area. More specifically, directly above where the band played well after 2am both nights (hotel closing time was 4am). The noise vibrated through the floor and sleep was impossible.
It was that bad, I had to check out around 1:30am exhausted.

Location and wifi

Cons:

There are renovations taking place on the upper level, with construction noise continuing until as late as 10:00 pm and starting again as early as 7:00 am. Fortunately, I stayed overnight in Port Macquarie and left early the next morning, so it didn't affect me too much. However, I can imagine that travellers who like to sleep in or stay up a little later would find the noise quite disruptive and uncomfortable.
