The Oasis at Grace Bay

I am giving this resort a one star review because my birthday experience here was not great at all and has turned me completely off to the island. Our vacation started off with everyone else in our group having their rooms available for check-in yet we had to wait for ours to become available even though we put that we were arriving early in our reservation (disappointing but no problem). The room we checked in had an ant infestation (see video). How did this get past the house cleaning staff that needed all this extra time in our room? It took us pressuring the front desk to get them to rectify the problem. This was all happening the day of my pre-planned and paid for birthday dinner. So while everyone else in my group was relaxing and getting ready, I was dealing with this. Day two, after paying for coconuts on the beach, we learned from the hotel staff that these were included in our stay. No one shared that beforehand. The hotel did have a free shuttle that took you to and from the beach but at no point did the driver of the shuttle ever offer to help us on or off the shuttle. I had my hands full with the pizza box from the hotel, drink in hand, and bag, and he just watched my friend and I struggle to get off. Also, the new room we were moved too also locked us out twice. Not sure why that happened but when it did, we had to walk back to the front desk and ask for it to be reset. Lastly, the TV in our new room didn't work. The issues became laughable over time.
This entire experience reflects the POOR level of customer service and professionalism the staff here offer. I do not expect this of a property that advertises itself as a 4 star hotel experience. And I have never had to beg for staff on an island hotel/property to be friendly, welcoming, and offer great customer service.
Pros: The hotel food was good. The grounds were always kept clean. The rum punch upon welcome and cold towel were refreshing.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were lovely and very close to the beach. Well-kept rooms and pools as well.

I have no criticism of this wonderful hotel. It is not on the beach but they have a golf buggy which takes you in about 2 mins to probably the best part of the beach where they have sun loungers and umbrellas. The hotel location is great , walking distance to the centre of town and all the bars and restaurants. The hotel has two swimming pools and an overpriced restaurant. The rooms are big , modern, clean and luxurious with private balconies. The staff are super friendly and helpful. When we left they gave us a big hug.

Everything

First was concerned upon arrival. Sent an email prior requesting a "no construction" area room.
However, did not receive a response back. Learned I was right across from the construction site when I got to my room and walked out to the terrace.
Construction workers are building a new hotel.
Although, if out during the day you can hear the contraction work and see the workers, it didn't bother me much at all. I didn't hear them late or very early in the morning.

Love this place! It's everything needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Guest services and concierge Diana and Jason (along with everyone else) did an outstanding job with making us feel welcomed. Very clean rooms!

Location is close to the nightclub/bar/restaurant, casino, and beach; which are some my interest. Markets & restaurant a short bike ride away.

Things to note are as follows:
-Cart service to the beach is from 7am-7pm (which I think is enough time)
-There is a specified area for guest with table, chairs, and umbrellas on the beach from 7am-7pm. They remove everything at 7pm which I didn’t have a problem with. You can stay longer if you want, you’ll just be on your own.

So glad I didn’t choose one of the larger resorts. This is an intimate boutique resort.

What a wonderful property! Beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, well lit, and safe. It checked every box. The room was secure, and the staff were consistently warm and attentive. Their presence made the whole experience feel less like a stay and more like coming home. We especially loved the E bikes and shuttle to the beach. Highly recommend!

The grounds are beautiful . Location is very close to the beach . You can walk (5 mins) , ride a bike or take the golf cart shuttle .

We could use ebikes or standard bikes for free to get around. The golf cart to the beach was such a great service along with the beds and umbrellas, towels. All included. Such a lovely team working at the hotel. Will definitely revisit. A few freebies in the room too. I won't spoil the surprise.

The location was ideal, central to everything. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful, smaller boutique resort-feel, the Oasis at Grace Bay is the place to be. They have thought of everything you might need or want during your stay, and if it isn't in the room, they will work swiftly to meet your request. And the staff, I can't say enough about the staff, it was truly a top-notch, VIP level experience all the way around. From the front desk associates, to the restaurant hostesses & servers, to guest services and housekeeping, shuttle drivers, etc. - the customer service was excellent! We also enjoyed the proximity to the beach, as well as shopping, restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the breakfast & lunch options at the onsite restaurant as well (we didn't get to try the dinner options, given we had reservations out every night). I highly recommend considering this hotel for your next trip to Turks & Caicos. We will be back!
