Great hospitality and services. Room got a swing which was the highlight. Food was good as well.
Our stay at Pratap Mahal in November, 2023 was really very nice. What made the stay very special was that, the hotel which is surrounded by hills had a very serene and relaxing vibe. We got a room on the ground floor, that opened onto a beautiful and serene garden. The staff was extremely helpful and caring, though we expected some delectable Rajasthani cuisine, we were a tad disappointed with the food offering. But, it was more than compensated by the overall vibe of this beautiful and scenic hotel. We wished we could stay a day more.
Everything beautiful, building, room and services. One of the best food eaten in India and a very professional staff.
Great property.
The best hotel, an oasis in the desert. Try the big suite and their chef and music. All so good. Staff as well. From the bartender, musicians to chefs these guys were better than the check in desk at the Shanghri la in Santa Monica and most of the resorts around the globe.
It was good Propety with good staff
The staff was extremely courteous and also very professional, after a long drive from ahmedabad, Pratap mahal with its front office staff and the back office kitchen must be complimented.
It was an amazing experience. Very peaceful and serene environment. Very beautiful rooms, excellent staff, good facilities. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly.
Clean rooms and helpful staff but let down by poor food and polite but non-existent response to request for simple room maintainance. Does not sell alcohol if this is relevant to you.
Well kept hotel, great service
This hotel is visually beautiful. The design makes you feel like you are in a palace and the entry is very grand and you feel like a celebrity checking in.
However, the hotel falls short of the Taj experience in many ways. On our stay on 2nd night (29th Dec) we found there was some sort of function in the courtyard area just below our room. The soundproofing in room is pretty bad and we were forced to hear the loud music and people laughing/talking loudly till about 2am.
The staff is very courteous but need more training in dealing with foreigners/NRI's. The food is OK but they need a proper bar menu and staff trained - my wait staff had no idea what "Lemon Lime Bitter" was and I was sent Lemon soda instead.
The most off-putting thing was the awful smell outside the hotel. Inside it was beautiful rose scented air conditioning but the minute you step out of the building into the driveway area of the hotel there was a awful raw sever smell - and it was there constantly for 2 nights we stayed. It meant when you car stops you rush inside the building to get away from smell and not able to walk/enjoy the front area/lawns. I am not sure of source of the smell - it was probably external to the hotel but for their own sake they must find the source and work to get that sorted as when you approach a Taj property you don't want to be greeted by sewer smells.

It was a memorable stay. All staff is very courties and humble. We enjoyed Food and evening cultural function. Very neat & well maintained property.
It was a good experience overall. The rooms were quite comfortable but according to me the mattresses were too soft and fluffy which gave me a back ache the next morning. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.
The stay was somehow not very comfortable. Being a Taj property, we booked our stay. So firstly, upon spending 5 hours in the room, realised the AC was not working up-to the mark. The hotel changed our room. The room was not equipped with hand-towels. The next morning, we had asked for a dental kit- at least 20-25 minutes were spent in delivering the kit that to after 3 calls to the reception.
A super arrive, food and facilities! I had a very relaxing time.
The service at this hotel is what you would expect from a Taj, very attentive. We had a few minor issues such as the air conditioning breaking, however this was swiftly dealt with by a room move so no further problems! We unfotuntately fell ill at the hotel, we are unsure where this derived from so it would not be fair to blame the hotel. The staff thereafter looked after us, calling out a doctor and ensuring we were well hydrated. We cannot thank them enough for this!
The hotel itself was situated a short drive outside of Pushkar, calm and serene, it is a beautiful building, it seemed to not have as much heritage as other Taj hotels but non the less well kept and believe they are still making additions such as a gym and spa.
Overall I would recommend for service, cleanliness and a tranquil stay away from the hustle and bustle.
