At check in the front desk clerk ran our card twice that caused it to be declined. Our card was charged the first time she ran it but said it didn't go thru.
A bit embarrassed cuz other guests were at the desk.
And good thing we have a text message alert that showed the transaction.

I booked this hotel particularly for the pool. But the pool did not have water in it when we were there.
Very disappointing. When I asked the front desk about it, she wasn't nice or even act understanding. She simply said the pool not working is posted on their website and I should've checked it.
So O did check it later that day. There is no notice on the courtyard by Marriott website about the pool not functioning currently by the way.
Also, I booked a king bed with a sleeper sofa and they only had a queen bed with sofa.
I felt deceived.
As a flight crew member, we consistently stay at the Courtyard in Edgewater and always enjoy our visits. The hotel feels clean, modern, and well-maintained. One of my favorite aspects is its convenient location within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shopping, and the scenic waterfront walking path.
The only drawback is that there isn’t much else to do in the immediate area. It would be fantastic if there were a ferry within walking distance that provided easy access to New York City.
Nanette is by far the standout employee at this property. Her hospitality, professionalism, and genuine kindness make our stay more enjoyable. She consistently goes above and beyond and represents the hotel exceptionally well. The front desk staff and even the bartender with piercings could learn a thing or two about hospitality from her example.
Time will tell, see you next week!

The staff. Lamont at the front desk is amazing and friendly. It is nice to stay at a hotel where staff take time to have a conversation and ensure your needs are met.
