Ambiance
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was mid.
Our room stank of stale cigarettes and urine. It was super hot and there was no fan too.
Location on the high street very good. On street parking was good. Breakfast ok. Coffee very good. Light up mirror in bathroom. The host was very nice.
Shower took an age to heat up on arrival but we put this down to old building and being on 2nd floor. No hot water in the morning despite running it for 20 mins. Mentioned it to host at breakfast who offered to look at it , but it was too late by then. Bedroom window was very low and opened very widely with a sheer drop outside, could be dangerous. Room and bathroom clean but tired. Pillows very flat.

Excellent room with a bath 😀
Staff very helpful and welcoming.
The staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and cli.
Booking.com showed a restaurant one minute from the hotel but there hadn't been one for over 13 years. Please update Booking.com !!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Nice historical place, a warren of corridors and stairs. Noisy bar (deserted) but quiet lounge.
I booked thinking they did evening meals as per their website, but they didn’t. We had a great meal at Carters Rest, very near. Small car park didn’t inspire confidence, but parked easily nearby.
Nice hotel, friendly welcome. Good breakfast. We stayed one night as part of a long distance walking trip and it was absolutely fine, staff were friendly.
They can't do evening meals, not viable for them unfortunately.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The keys do not work and I was locked outside for 20 minutes in the Main Street.
When I phoned and spoke to owner Abdul he was aware of the faulty lock and told me to keep wiggling the key
I eventually gained access to the hotel and then the key to my room didn’t work either
Broken locks and dirty rooms. I checked out after 1 night and booked into the Royal Hotel which was excellent. I got a refund for my second night after checking out
Nice staff. Centre of town. Good breakfast
Needing a little ‘sprucing up’
Redelijke bedden.
Matig ontbijt, doucheruimte niet helemaal schoon en matige afwerking
Vintage hotel at a reasonable price.
There is parking in the back and breakfast was pretty good.
It is weird that they keep the lobby locked and make you wait outside until they open the bar next door.
i loved the town. the bed was very comfortable. breakfasts were delicious.
