We picked this hotel because of the view, and it didn't disappoint. The view from our room over Botafogo Bay to the Sugar Loaf mountain was amazing, and the view from the Rooftop Bar was even better as you could see Christ the Redeemer too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, both at Reception and at the Bar. The hotel is situated opposite a lovely beach and there are lots of walking routes and parks in the close vicinity. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance and a large Shopping Centre with Food Halls about 10 minutes away. It seemed safe walking around. The breakfast was ok, but it was a little chaotic around the buffet. We were given tokens on arrival for a free drink at the Rooftop Bar which was nice .... we enjoyed our Caipirinhas :)
Although the room was modern, I'd say it was style over substance. It all looked nice and neat, but it wasn't particularly comfortable. The lighting in particular was not good. Over the bed were two industrial looking lamps. If you tried to push them up away from your head they fell down again to just above the pillow, and you couldn't turn them to face in any other direction. So you basically had the lamps lighting up your pillow, a dull tall lamp in one corner, and a bulb up behind the tv. It might not be an issue for everyone, but it was for me. To get info about the Hotel Facilities & Amenities, eg: the Mini Bar, you had to scan a QR code and look it up on your phone. The USB ports were not easy to access behind the bedside tables.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect hotel for a few nights in Rio, lovely bar and restaurant with the food being great also.
The lack of light in the room we had and access to electrical sockets.

Great buzzy vibe and decor. Rooftop has incredible views and nice pool and lounge area, as well as good food. Breakfast was great. Rooms were really nice and clean, plus location was good. Easy to go for a long walk/run along the beach and explore the neighbourhood. I didn't get to use the coworking area or spa within the hotel but would have liked to with a bit more time.
