Serious security failure!
Pros:

In the middle of the night, an unknown man entered my room using a hotel-issued key card. He told me that the front desk had assigned him the room and provided him with the key. There were three front desk staff members on duty that night, yet none of them appeared to take the situation seriously or provide the support, reassurance, or explanation I needed. There was no manager on duty available to respond or follow up with me throughout my entire stay. This was not the level of service or hospitality I expected from a Marriott property.

Brandon, you are fabulous!
Pros:

I was very impressed with my shuttle driver Brandon. He was exceptionally professional and made certain I made it to my flight at the right place and on time. If I could find a contact site email I would love to let his supervisor know what an asset he is to the hotel.

Do not park here unless you want to uber back
Pros:

Choosing a Marriott-branded property like the Four Points by Sheraton for airport parking usually implies a certain standard of professional logistics, but this experience was a failure from start to finish. The facility provides zero clear signage for travelers, leading me to park near S 224th St only to find every access door locked. This forced a long walk around the building just to check in, which is where the operational incompetence truly began.

The check-in process is bafflingly manual for the year 2026. Rather than using license plate recognition or a digital reservation system, the staff required a tedious amount of information just to hand-write a paper slip. I then had to walk all the way back to my vehicle to place it on the dashboard. This unnecessary back-and-forth created a bottleneck that frustrated the shuttle driver, who then directed his irritation at me because the hotel's own inefficient system had put him behind schedule.

The return journey was the most egregious part of the experience. After calling from baggage claim and being assured a shuttle was on the way, I was left stranded at the pickup location for over forty minutes. During that time, I watched a constant parade of competitors pass by at least twice while the Four Points shuttle remained a no-show.

I eventually had to give up on the service I already paid for and shell out an additional $30 for an Uber just to reach my own vehicle.

Do not let the brand name mislead you into expecting a modern or reliable operation. This facility is disorganized and significantly behind the times. If you value your time and want to avoid paying a "hidden" Uber tax to get back to your car, you are much better off choosing a professional dedicated lot.

Master Park, WallyPark, Doug Fox, and Park n Jet all showed far superior frequency and reliability during the forty minutes I spent waiting for a shuttle that never arrived.

Not worth it
Pros:

The airport shuttle driver was very rude and berated people who had called for a pick up.

There is often a long line to check in at the front desk.

Breakfast at the restaurant is a chaotic mess every time. There should be more staff working. It took ten minutes to place my order; and, after 15 minutes I hadn’t even received coffee yet.

The room is clean.

Literally the worst
Pros:

We paid for park and ride ($135.32 for 9 days), having seen on the website that a shuttle runs every 30 minutes. We arrived at the hotel with plenty of time for that, but were told that the shuttle didn’t start running for another hour. No start time was mentioned anywhere on the website or in booking. The information was entirely misleading stating only that “after 3pm our shuttle runs on demand.” In order to not miss our flight we spent $27.69 on an Uber. On our return, we followed the instructions to call for a shuttle, which we did at 1:55pm. We were told the driver was on break but would be there at 2:30pm. We waited. I called again at 2:45pm and was told the driver had just left and should be there shortly. I called again at 3:15 and was told the same thing. Finally the driver arrived at 3:22. It was a 12 minute ride to the hotel. We could have walked faster than it took for the shuttle to arrive.

I guess that’s what we get for going with a cheaper option. Would be fine if you enjoy missing flights and standing outside in the cold for almost an hour and a half. We also got a great gauge for which other hotels and park and ride groups would come by faster. Answer: All of them. Multiple times over. They probably would have been cheaper too, if you factor in the extra money we had to spend to catch an uber.

I can’t speak to the quality of the hotel amenities, since we just used the park and ride service. Maybe it’s lovely. But if you’re counting on the advertised ride to and from the airport - don’t.

Very disappointed in service. After trying to communicate with customer service and being told only to wait. Do not book
Pros:

Very poor communication and awful shuttle service. Waited an hour, called twice, both times saying 10 minute wait. Highly do not recommend

Poorly Managed
Pros:

When I checked in I was told by the front desk I couldn't have the Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above guaranteed late checkout as the hotel wasn't a Marriott. The gentleman working the front desk also went on to say an order from management prevented late checkouts. Fortunately a very kind woman working at the front desk the next morning told me it was no problem to stay past checkout when I mentioned the strange check in. We had a good laugh about it in front of the Marriott Bonvoy sign, and that should have been the end of the story. As a repeat guest of this hotel I wasn't going to let this hiccup ruin this stay.

Fast forward to checkout. I headed down to check out hours before what would have been the standard elite checkout time. At the front desk I discovered erroneous parking charges on the bill. The same kind woman that offered a later checkout was helping me, but it required her manager to fix the errors with the bill. With the outstanding customer service delivered by this woman at the front desk, even this new delay plus the check in (and a heavy foot traffic room) couldn't add up to a terrible stay.

The manager arrived and said fixing the parking would take some time, so I started chatting about the weird incident where the guy working the front desk at check in said the hotel wasn't a Marriott property. The manager tried to justify it by stating Sheraton was SPG in the past (despite SPG joining Marriott Bonvoy in August 2018 and my stay being in November 2024). He then went on to act like I should have never received a later checkout this stay. This despite actually checking out within an hour of normal checkout (and not receiving the guaranteed late checkout which has up to a 4pm checkout).

The manager then decided to lecture me like this was my first day of elite status. He stated I would find many Marriott hotels in my travels deny the elite late checkout. He also said that his hotel only offered it to Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador elites based on availability (despite Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions guaranteeing it for Platinum and above outside of convention/resort hotels). He went on to state that the hotel was sold out, and if they gave away late checkout to Platinum and above they'd have no rooms. However, the app showed plenty of availability for the day I was leaving. In all that the manager said, he never once apologized for the obvious mistake on their end that was wasting my time... the parking.

I walked out of the hotel once the parking was eventually fixed. As I did, I thought about how loyalty is a two way street that benefits both the hotel and the guest. This is the only hotel I have experienced to date to not adhere to the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions and deny the guaranteed late checkout when checking in. Even in the past with lower Marriott status where it is based on availability I don't recall any denials. As a returning guest of this particular property itself I felt management truly did not value repeat business of the brand and the hotel itself. As a result, I have taken my business elsewhere. It is a shame because the building itself is likely the nicest hotel facility in Des Moines, and there are some fantastic employees working there.

Pros:

Would not stay here again. I had booked a King room (not a "King or Double Queen", it only said King) yet we got a two queen room. They were sold out for the night and unable to get us the room we actually booked. There was also a very loud even taking place in the ballroom directly below our room. We checked in late at 10pm, were ready to go to bed, but the room was inundated with the loud music which had bass that was shaking our room. I called the front desk and they said that the event was going until 11:30pm. I was not aware of this before our stay or else I never would have stayed here. Between the beds we didn't want and the loud noise, it was not the comfortable stay we expected. I will definitely look for other options next time.

Pros:

We stay here almost every time before and after a trip that utilizes SeaTac airport. The hotel is close enough to make it easy to reach the airport and far enough away so that you don't hear the air traffic that much. The rooms are comfortable and adequate for a quick one night stay.

Pros:

The hotel itself was clean, and my room was comfortable, quiet, and well-kept. However, the main floor had a strong smell of Indian food because the restaurant is located right next to the reception area.

One major drawback was the airport shuttle service. After a 12-hour flight, I ended up waiting over an hour for the shuttle. When I asked the driver why it took so long, he told me he had been on his break. For busy times like this, the hotel should really schedule an additional driver. After such a long journey, no one wants to be left waiting that long for transportation.
