Great! What a great setup!
All good
I’ve stayed here alone many times and have always been impressed by this place. One day, I made a mistake—I left my phone in the bathroom, and it went missing. Despite it being entirely my own fault, the hotel staff went above and beyond to help. They searched, investigated, and coordinated everything with great care and professionalism, even while I was under a lot of emotional stress. Everyone took responsibility and supported me in a way that deeply moved me. This place truly is wonderful—because of the amazing people who make it so.
Good room good price friendly staff at lobby location is center near Mrt and i got the room upper floor is good view my room have bath tab also wi-fi is fast
I have been there befor but the hotel weint down a little.
Roms a very used.Breakfast is for travelgroups ,so very cheap
This is a Chinese tour hotel, full of rude people and bus loads of arrivals choking up elevators. The food options were absolutely terrible. Lucky for grab.
The front counter staff member told me I had to pay 1000 deposit for room key, which is questioned. Suddenly the supervisor shouted at me across another customer, and made my check in extremely uncomfortable in front of my wife. The WORST service I have ever encountered in any hotel around the world. A truely horrible woman, I felt so sorry for the staff who have to work with such a disgusting behaviour. She really should be sacked. There are much better hotels for the price. Unless you are part or a Chinese tour I’d avoid this place and never go back.
Great stay!!! Will definitely return.
goob
Clean and comfortable, food options and shopping
Convenient Location near train station.
Parking available. Great breakfast buffet.
Breakfast staff pleasant and professional.
Property in need of a good spruce up. Front Office staff not very professional not very pleasant. Wifi the poorest I have experienced. I do not recommend! Plenty of better choices in BKK.
The Bazaar Hotel is a strangely set up establishment about 300 meters from Lat Phrao MRT blue line (Exit 1) & the adjoining Lat Phrao MRT yellow line interchange (over the road using the air bridge).
Certainly a conveniently located 3 Star hotel. NOT anything close to a 4 Star & certainly nothing like the advertised 5 Star establishment.
The main hotel is twinned with its far lower priced Capital 0 75451 Podstel (backpacker hostel on the 3rd floor of a linked & adjacent long narrow building.) Forget those 3rd floor backpacker bunk-bedded double roomed-pods, though adequate for backpackers or travellers on a very tight budget.
Much more relevant is this main Bazaar Hotel is also twinned with the strangely named Capital 0 75451 Podstel’s higher floored (11-16) private twin & double Podstel rooms in this same adjacent building.
The twinned Podstel hotel rooms, which although smaller & a little more rudimentary than the main hotel block rooms? Well, they are essentially the very same rooms, almost identical rooms with the same carpets, design, beds, linen, layout etc! Oh & a different reception desk about 150 meters further down the same ground level floor.
Just half to a quarter the price! Be aware of this great little cash saving option. Choose the Podstel Private Rooms in the adjacent long narrow building between the 11th & 16th floors. So NOT in the main Bazaar Hotel. Good for long stays too.
But back to the main Bazaar Hotel where I initially stayed on the 18th Floor in a Deluxe Room then got moved (due to high occupancy) to the lower floors of 15th, 12th, 9th & eventually 6th floor to spare myself the eternal wait for the never to arrive lifts.
Anyway, bear in mind that all the rooms, be they superior or deluxe were essentially much the same.
Each room perfectly adequate for a very comfortable night’s sleep with decent showers, an okay bath, loos that flush, adequate sized rooms, decent enough bed linen & towels with reasonable beds & pillows. The AC is also pretty good. Though no AC ever on in the corridors.
The biggest positive is the hotel’s jointly owned & separately managed BKK-Sky-Gym on the 4th floor. This commercial gym & pool access which is afforded to guests in the main hotel free of charge is open to members with USA made Matrix resistance equipment & Matrix branded cardio & some random branded strength equipment that affords anyone a decent strength workout, especially for an hotel guest gym.
Careful when using the swimming pool! The entire tiled area (fake wood & actually slippery ceramic tiles) are deadly ice-rink-like to try to walk on.
I saw two guests slip when using the pool & I nearly went for six on one occasion too.
Ridiculously negligent design & a broken back or neck just waiting to happen. Would never be permitted in any Western country ref OH&S.
Numerous warning signs as to the slippery tiles when wet do not prevent guests slipping after all it is a swimming pool!
That’s where the good news & good news with a warning as to slipping stops. Pretty much everything else is well below par, failing, less than enjoyable & certainly not particularly guest-centric.
The two guest lifts are beyond slow, often packed to the hilt when they do finally arrive on your floor & a building this size, with some 21 floors really ought to have at least 4 lifts operating! The fact that one of the two lifts was unserviceable for the second leg of my stay didn’t improve the getting to & from your room’s floor problem!
The internet is absolutely horrendous. The worst I have had any hotel in Thailand. Never stays connected for more than 10-20 minutes at a time. The WiFi disconnects randomly for no apparent reason & takes at least half a dozen attempts to reconnect every time.
The hotel finally admitted the routers are set to disconnect every hour, fair enough if they have to take such a mealie mouthed approach to the slow data use but a joke in 2025’s essential online world of business!
Furthermore, nobody in the hotel could explain why the WiFi disconnects every 10 -15-20 minutes! The IT department at the hotel couldn’t help at all, they even suggest guests use their own WiFi access when staying & the Bazaar Hotel as the establishment has long-term WiFi access issues.
Just surreal the hotel management know about this longterm issue & even in essential WiFi connected world of 2025 still cannot be bothered to address the hotel’s inept WiFi setup. Have the audacity to advise guests to go out & buy their own SIM card to hotspot from when staying in this 3 star hotel.
Sums up the service levels which are very much aimed at providing pit-stops to the en-mass large group package Chinese tourist market. Fair enough if this is their sector, AOK but advertise it as such & guests like myself will book & stay elsewhere.
The TV channels are distorted & pixelate so seldom tried to connect to the odd English Channel. The noise pollution from the adjacent freeway & flyover is a constant droning, whizzing, clattering, whirring, honking & cacophony of loud noise as if being run over by a series of motorcycles, trucks, Tuk-tuks & busses, all night long, all day long. The lower the floor, the worse the noise.
Taking a shower or a bath? Don’t expect hot water, it get to luke warm at best & that is after running a few litres of wasted water. Fortunately I like cold showers, so no problem. But shaving with cold water was a bit of a camping experience.
Frustrating to return to one’s room to discover that the maid has again removed the room key card left in the power slot & returned it to reception. Why? Well because management don’t want guests leaving the AC on when out the room, also don’t want guests leaving i-pads, tablets, phones, laptops charging, or I assume?
Never got a proper explanation as to why the chambermaids do this? But obviously following management directives to make sure guest rooms have no power if the guest is out. Didn’t seem to matter that the guest rooms were sweltering, stale aired & IT devices flat upon the guest’s return.
Being charged for holding your suitcase securely after check out is a new one to me too. Also being turfed out the gym / pool area after checkout on the day of departure is another new one to me. How can that be a policy in any hotel?
Never happened to me at any hotel anywhere in the world, especially not in lovely welcoming Thailand. Even 3 star joints permit guests to while away time at the pool or in the hotel gym having checked out & waiting a late airport run to fly out.
I could write a lot more but you get the picture. If one manages to secure a room for circa US$27.50 to $37.50 then fair enough, no complaints, good value for the money based on room only board. If paying their often levied rack rates of US$50 to US$95 per night room only? Well sorry to say that is terrible value for money & not recommended at all!
I feel empathy for the few good staff trying their best, smiling broadly while working earnestly at this high pressure, high occupancy Chinese mass-tourist-bus targeted hotel, with an extra serving of any tour bus passing through.
Afraid that there are definitely better, calmer Bangkok hotels available if seeking a relaxed, smiling, serene, quieter, more comfortable stay in the capital of the land of a thousand smiles.
I’d rename this hotel The “Bazar” Hotel, quite literally most bazar & so easily fixable if ownership & senior management chose to.
Could not fault one thing with this property excellent courteous staff all over the building
great service and good hospitality
The rooms are great and clean. The beds are comfortable and staff-friendly. Close to the train line for convenience. The BIG disappointment for me was I booked the hotel from Dec 24th till Jan 5th. Due to a family situation, I had to return home on Dec 27th. My travel agent sent two email requests for a refund of the extra 9 days accommodation I had paid for. The requests were 6 weeks before the booking dates. Both emails were replied to with a straight out NO! There is nothing on their web page saying NO REFUNDS! This has really left a sour taste in my mouth. So if you are not sure of your dates do not book this hotel
Hotel room itself, don't even have table or any countertop. The only place you have power outlet is at the kettle cabinet, inconvenient if you have laptop and gadgets to charge. Bathroom sink, very odd design and no place to keep toiletries stuff, small size bathroom but comes with bathtub and shower. Bed is ok and comfortable. WiFi not stable. Carpet needs a good cleaning. Big hotel but only have 2 small lifts, need to be patience to wait. Crowded with tour groups daily. Less than 10 minutes walking distance to MRT but need to use the overhead bridges to cross over. Staff service is prompt.
There was one gent at reception who spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful. Door concierge were also helpful.
Breakfast excellent value for money yet bit of a walk from hotel.
Convenient location next to Mall & subway.
Tv was absolutely horrible. No reception, no cable channels. Internet shut off and on constantly
Most of the guests are Chinese.Everything there is written in Chinese. It did not feel like I sas in Thailand, it felt like I was visting China. That said, the room was nice though a bit dated. They demanded a 1000 BHT cash deposit even though I booked it will a credit card. The had me wait while they checked the room before the returnes the cash to me at checkout… I found that part off putting. The lobby chandeliers wew beutiful.
Downside was no wifi which may have been out of the hotels control.also many Chinese tourist busses so it got kinda busy at the service counter. Upside, clean room, food options and 7/11 downstairs, shopping like a weekend market, English service,
