We stayed In Cherokee in 2006 and had a pleasant time.
Pros:

The room was small but satisfactory.

Cons:

The walking distances to get from the parking to the room was very difficult for my husband. The common areas outside the interior of the motel were very dirty. Elevators ands stairwells.

The check in process made me feel like I was just the next person in line. The lady just asked for my id without even saying hello then told me the price and gave me a key. It was quick. She didnt use my name when interacting with me. I just felt that it was very impersonal.

The room itself was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel staff was outstanding. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The only downside was that there was a noticeable burnt smell coming from the air conditioning vent, which was unpleasant during our stay. Aside from that issue, we had a positive experience and appreciated the excellent service from the staff.
