Pros:

The staff was very friendly and helpful, both Piet and Mickey made sure we were promptly helped. The area was beautiful and quiet. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained and the room was perfectly cool air conditioned. All utilities for cooking and to braai were at our disposal. I will be booking with them again in future.

Special place run by passionate hosts who only have your comfort and safety on top of their minds.
Pros:

Location was amazing. Quiet spot in nature but only 2 km away from a beautiful town. Stars are incredible. Hot tub was a welcome treat. Ideal to relax as a couple or family. Very close to nature so just watching the animals and birds in their own habitat was special. The pool by the club house was sparkling blue and clean. Perfect to cool down on a hot day. The undercover seating area offered very comfortable chairs to relax as a larger group. Oom Piet and his electric scooter was a super host and available when needed.

Cons:

The bedrooms were separated by an outside staircase so not ideal for a family with small children. The lower room does not have aircon so gets warm but fans are provided. Air frier would be a welcome addition but not totally necessary

We loved Bushman’s Valley
Pros:

Great location close to Prince Albert, quiet, peaceful with good walks and birdlife. Spacious accommodation and loved the ice making machine. Very stylish cabin with good air conditioning.

Cons:

The fridge was very noisy and leaked. Bathroom wall needed renovation.

Amazing stay in comfortable cabin, surrounded by beautiful landscape and mountains.
Pros:

We were welcomed by friendly staff. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Air conditioners were switched on before we arrived, and it was wonderful to walk into the cool cabin on such a hot day. There was also an ice machine already filled with ice when we arrived.
Cabin well equipped. Pool is clean and we enjoyed cooling down in the afternoon.
Location is very good, close to Prince Albert, but you have the peacefulness of nature surrounding you.
Amazing views, quiet and tranquil.
Would definitely recommend Bushman Valley lodge.
Thank you. Would love to come back.

A true gem.
Pros:

It was so quiet and the view was stunning.
We saw a few wild animals close to us... baboon, mongoose, klipspringer and birds.
We got to experience really loud thunder which was amazing to see and hear and a bit terrifying 🤣

Cons:

A beautiful and special family experience that could become exceptional with small improvements.
Pros:

We really enjoyed the overall concept of the property — the rustic wildlife experience makes the stay truly unique and memorable. The natural surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, creating a perfect environment to disconnect and relax. The chalet was excellent: clean, comfortable, well maintained, and equipped with a very good air conditioner. We felt safe during our stay and appreciated how the structure balances the wildlife experience with comfort. It was a special family experience and we would definitely return.

Cons:

The main area for improvement is the outdoor lighting, especially around the barbecue area and internal roads. After sunset, visibility becomes extremely limited, which makes it difficult to use the barbecue area comfortably and feels unsafe considering the presence of wildlife like baboons. We actually had to interrupt our barbecue because of the lack of visibility as the light faded. Installing additional lighting, possibly solar-powered, would greatly improve safety and usability.

During a very heavy storm, water entered through gaps in the windows and doors. These gaps also allow mosquitoes inside the chalet, even when everything is closed. Improving the sealing or installing mosquito screens would significantly increase comfort and prevent this issue in the future.

Another point is the entrance identification. Although there are signs along the road, the actual entrance is not clearly visible, especially for drivers coming from the opposite direction. We passed the entrance the first time because it was difficult to identify, so clearer signage at the entrance itself would be very helpful.

Pros:

Amazing stay! Location is perfect, close to town but still feels like off the grid stay. Small touches in the cottage made this stay memorable such as a little teddy for our baby, aircons, olive oil and a dental kit.

Cons:

hot water only between 11h00 to 15h00 as the water pipe runs on the surface and heat up to 40 plus degrees . Coffee and suger for one cup although I stay for three days . Feel a bit unsecured as ALLstaff leave the farm at 17h00 and the gate from the main road stay open then I was the only person there . I felt vulnerable. Anybody can drive in from the main road right to where I stayed . Parking facility for car in the sun with no protection and there are stones lying all over the road which can cut cars tyres .
Most of these complaints can be resolved. Also obviously has to travel about 4 km to buy basics like bread or milk or anything to eat . I think they should keep these items so one doesn't have to drive to town to buy it .
